I agree with Jaby on the strength of Marvel using its big roster of characters. In fact, that's what made the MCU the success it is. People forget but the Avengers were considered b-list characters awhile back. Their heavy hitters were always X-men, Spider-Man and Hulk. The great innovation of the MCU was that they structured their films around the universe itself - not any specific character. Unlike DC, which has now done 9 trillion Batman movies. To be fair though, the animated DC Universe has been amazing with all the characters.

8:57 technically, the avengers were b-list superheroes, relative to other marvel comics. Marvel sold off the rights to the more popular ones and the MCU of what remained ended up being a success, in part by world building around the successes they surprisingly gained.

Yeah that's the thing with the MCU, they are really a Universe. There's more than just one of superhero in just one movie, and they are not scared of letting those main MCU characters go because they have move Marvel characters that they are not afraid to introduce to the audience. And now that the Defenders characters from Netflix is slowly getting their way into the MCU, there's going to be an even larger universe for them. And I just hope that Jon Bernthal also return as Punisher as well.

Honest Trailers criticisms of Moon Knight are way off. Isaacs' accent and acting are superb. As was Ethan's. Really, Moon Knight is one of the BEST Marvel series. I agree with Jaby that the series need more episode. I like using different characters because you can tell more varied stories. It's like it is the writing and production that make a story interesting as opposed to who the character is.

The problem was everyone complained that the Pre Disney Plus MCU shows on Hulu and Netflix never had enough storylines for 13 episode season. I feel like Hawkeye is the show that suffered the most from the 6 episode format. As long as they're no more than nine to ten episodes long then that's fine

Ouch. This one missed the "Mark" for me. Weird because it felt like there is a stance being made in this one. And one that I can only say anecdotally is not felt by anyone I've come across. First point is not exactly correct either, the 3rd inhabitant isn't Khonshu. Maybe they were trying to avoid a spoiler of just goofed. Hawke phoning it in?

I love the idea that Iron Man is an "A list character". The MCU was literally started with all the characters they couldn't beg people to buy from them! Sony was offered every single Marvel character for $25 million, they turned them down in favor of $20 million for Spider-man. Then they sold characters off to Fox, Universal and even Man Thing to Lionsgate. Now people know who Iron Man is and Thor 3 can out perform the Justice League but that's because of the work the MCU has put in. Not because the average movie goer had any idea of any of the characters they had the rights to.

The definition of an A-List vs. B-List, etc., for Marvel has kind of changed over the years. I can think of one hero that has been consistently A-List since the 60's, and that would be Spider-Man. When Iron Man came out, he wasn't really considered an A-List hero by a lot of comic nerds. RDJ's performance really ramped up how high profile that character became, in my mind. If anything, people would have considered the X-Men higher profile, but they had been sold off to Sony along with Spider-Man.

IF there was anything to criticize, criticize the material (which was also high quality). The honest trailers guy was probably just trying to be funny or something. I've seen opinions of DID systems here on youtube and they said the DID part of the show is pretty accurate... except the Jake being evil part. But maybe he is not evil just an eager protector. I hope we'll eventually find out for sure someday...

Cold but good people don't enjoy killing someone defenceless that much IMO. And he also killed the hospital workers who were innocent which could have been easily avoided. I still hope the writers come up something to explain all this and make him a good but traumatised person but from the stuff we saw, it's going to be hard.

When I was nine, my family visited Italy and England for nine weeks. Spending so much time with our cousin and other kids our age, my slightly younger brother and I returned home with close to unshakable British accents. These faded quickly enough, but for a time if I'd come across someone from the UK I'd "fall into" their accent/s, particularly in college when I was working phone reservations for a since defunct airline that'd opened going to Gatwick. We'd get lots of UK folk calling for reservations, and at the end of the call they wouldn't admonish me, rather they'd ask, "So tell me, where in England are you _from...?"_ at which point I'd realize I'd been speaking with "my" British accent, and sheepishly explain how/why I Fall Into British accents. I've _never_ done cockney, not would I, btw... In the early 1980s I did return to London on my own (and again in 2013, starring in an indie feature), and often I'd have locals say along the lines: "Oh, I thought you were American; you're _not..."_ 😉

So I'm an audiobook narrator, and here's my take on accents. There is a podcast called the Magnus Archives, and many people complained about the narrators fake English accent. The narrator is a London native, so it was just his own accent. People in America only hear the accents of actors, who tend to speak similarly to one another because they are all practiced at speaking in a more educated and conformed manner than the general public. Also individuals are unique, and speak in different ways. Think about how differently Allan Rickman sounds from Michael Caine, both from London.

Why on Earth would anyone expect Isaac’s accent to be perfect when Marc’s accent would’ve been exactly like Isaac’s or probably worse, had it been a different actor playing the role. The character is literally an American pretending to be British… duh! About the new iron man, thor, etc. It's not really needed because there are multiple Iron people and multiple Thors. So, you get the same idea but it doesn't feel as rehashed as DC's version.

I disagree that the show didn't do mental health or the cast justice. From what I've heard from medical professionals friends, some who deal directly with DID, the show did a pretty good job depicting it and intertwining it into the story. (see Episode 5). And Oscar Isaac, May Calamawy, and Ethan Hawke all showed off their acting chops. The storyline/pacing is the only letdown of the show and I blame that entirely on the 6 episode format.

The people who complained about his British accent were not from Britain, mostly Americans. They seem to think there is only one English accent. While people from Britain, like myself, know there are many varieties depending on which part you come from. His accent was spot on. He chose one that is known to be quite funny sounding, but does not make it any less real British accent.

I think 6-8 episode shows *can* be great (i.e. Bridgerton, Stranger Things, Fate: the Winx Saga, etc) but it's harder to accomplish. I've enjoyed all the MCU Disney+ shows (for the most part), but I definitely think their main issue is often the pacing rather than the episode count.

Everyone: 6 episodes aren't enough for these MCU shows Marvel: ok then. She-Hulk will have 9 episodes Btw Achara they could re-cast some major characters for newer MCU movies, but as the entire universe is connected it wouldn't make much sense to do it *now* . After Secret Wars depending on what happens they could reset the timeline or whatever. Or start to make movies focused on other universes (the 838 maybe), where they'd have other actors playing the same roles. THAT would be interesting.

Remember the backlash Brandon Routh received when he was cast as Superman? Anyone actor recast as Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanov, Thor, 'Challa or even Loki will receive the same backlash (if not more)! This is the first time I think Honest Trailers are being kind of immature and acting like trolls. Not saying they should of put out a trailer loving the show, it had a lot of issues, but they were going in pretty hard here on things that really weren't true. No offence, but I don't want to hear from an American if a British accent sounds good or not, I'm British and I can tell you he did a great job. Ethan Hawkes character was definitely under written and under used, but in no way did he phone in his performance. From someone who deals with anxiety and depression I think they handled the mental health side very well. This Phase of the MCU is all about the multiverse, so of course the films in this phase are going to cover things like meeting variants of themselves. That is the whole point of this phase, nothing to do with running out of ideas.

The actors were great, but I don't think anyone can argue that it was extremely rushed for no reason. I'd be happier if the season didn't show the second half. Why not just work more on depicting the origins and the relationship of Marc and Steven in the first season, end it at the part where Steven dies as a cliffhanger, and then pick up from there. Ntm the whole "are you an egyption superhero?" And the Kaiju tropes kinda bad and repetitive mate. I liked nwh when it first came out alot, it's a great movie but that didn't mean people didnt notice the massive plot holes there, and aftr seeing multiverse of madness and being pretty bummed out regarding how the story felt like it didn't have a particular core plot or one which I felt could develop and how they did venom let there be carnage. I feel like marvels just counting on guest appearances Soo much they didn't care much about the individual hero like moon knight, this show just felt like a brief I tro into a character just to use him in avengers and other multiherl franchises. Kinda worries me what they'll do with other upcoming heroes like Ms marvel, she hulk etc. But let's hope for the best and that season 2 of moon knight would have more depth and be longer.
