My entry for the Hardware Jams fecesbook group, week 08, Moon Landing challenge.
/ hardwarejams
Only the 2nd time I've got in the top 3 in the vote, again with a shared 3rd place, which I'm quite pleased with, and proud of.
You have just landed on the moon again....and find you are not alone!
Due to the small area in the space craft, you were only allowed 2 instruments... (Or 2 rows of modular😝)
You are also restricted by oxygen meaning that your jam can not take longer than an hour to make and film!
Its important to make friends with the aliens because you have noticed they have already have collected junk that the earth has sent their way n are constructing a weapon for earths doom!
5 mins you have to impress them we are worth saving!
In short; a 2-box challenge on a 1 hour timer.
I'm still wiring the studio up, which I spend quite a bit of time on prior to recording the video. While it didn't count towards the time limit, I thought it was a humorous approach to start from; me having run out of air, and the aliens thinking I was offered up for them to eat, as a peace offering from my peers. Then rather than me making a jam for communicate with them (I was dead), they used my equipment to communicate with earth. And certainly none of the other jams took this approach.
If you like this, a thumbs up, comment and/or hitting that subscribe button, would really mean a lot to me! I got plenty more coming; House, Tech, D'n'B, and more, as well as videos showing off various music tech I get my hands on. I'll do my best to make that subscription worth your while ;-)

About the production:
I was cutting it pretty close with the 1 hour limitation, honestly couldn't be bothered to time it precisely, so give or take a couple of mins.
For the 2 instrument limitation I chose my EMX-1 and Voicetone Synth.
Was cool to dust off some gear I haven't used in a while, especially in my all new studio.
I'm pretty happy with the basics, especially the beat and bass, but would've really liked to fine-tune it all some more. Such is the nature of a challenge like this.
The sound effects are actually the same organ PCM with insane pitch modulation. The different sounds are achieved by motion sequencing the modulation waveform. The rest is fairly self explanatory, though I am proud of the drum programming - actually think I'll sample the beat, and use it as my own home grown break for future projects.
And obviously the Voicetone Synth makes the alien voices.
Full disclosure, I did use my go-to limiter to pull the level up, it's just touching the peaks occationally, less than a dB.
