When all else fails.. sing a clasic song like moon river.. you will at least get points for nostalgia. What i like is the fact that he is singing great songs instead of the crap that most singers are singing now. Song like moon river are karaoke standards and if you can 1/2 way carry a tune you will not butcher it much.. that's why he sings them.

I don't understand what the hype is about. He is neither cute nor does he have a killer voice. I agree, he sounds like a girl in this song. I gave it another chance and listened to another one that has a lower register. Nope. The guy can carry a tune, fine; but his voice... nothing special, really. As most Pinoys can sing, RP is just mediocre.

Richard Poon is not really a good singer.. yes he sings good if not great songs but he comes off as cheesy. Basically he is trying to be super smooth and cool like Frank Sinatra but he does not have the charisma to pull it off. I listen to his version at least 20x.. and searched youtube for other renditions.. mostly amateaur karaoke singers and I found many who did much better. Bottom line he is a richmans son and money bought him fame and fortune.. not his singing.

@@lyndonbeltran760 Funny thing is that I posted my comment six years ago and guess what that was the last time Richard Poon put out an album. The content of his career is doing covers. That's the same thing as a karaoke singer. He plays it safe with old standards that have been sung ad infinitum and ad nauseam. No jealousy here as I am the king of karaoke in my own little space in the world.
