A few Muslims from UK visited Saudi Arabia for Umrah in September 2009 and Hajj in November 2009. Part 1 and 2 of this video shows the Islam Channel Hajj 2009 recording of the moon sighting visit to the Makkah Observatory on Tuesday 17 November 2009 (29 Dhul Qadah 1430 AH) by Shaykh Sulayman Gani of Wifaqul Ulama (UK) and Mohamed Ali (CEO) of Islam Channel. Part 3 shows some of the photos of the Makkah Observatory visit on 19 September 2009 (29 Ramadan 1430 AH) by Abdul Aziz Raje of Wifaqul Ulama (www.wifaqululama.co.uk). In both visits the moon was not sighted in Makkah (or in any other months) but the sighting claims from a few bedouins from the deserts near Riyadh (over 500 miles East of Makkah) were accepted by the Riyadh based Ministry of Justice. Many thanks to the hosts (members of KACST) for their warm hospitalities to our UK visitors and to Islam Channel for bringing the live coverage of Hajj from Makkah to the Muslims in UK (and around the world). May Allah reward all those who make efforts to revive the moon sighting Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (sallalalhu alayhi wasallam).
