Top 8'd the Legacy Showcase Challenge with an innovative Moon Stompy decklist so good that my friend xJCloud picked it up with no testing and also Top 8'd! In fact, we went an astonishing 14-0 in non-mirror matches in the swiss part of the tournament (we played each other in round 5 and both won all of our other matches).

that crew in the final match is so brutal, idk what was better, waiting to draw another creature or forcing them to kill you that turn.

I’ve had some time to think it over and talk it through with people, and since I didn’t know the decklist (and hadn’t seen borrower), knowing I had him shut off of white, which is the normal color to answer permanents for breakfast, meant that at the time, it was right for me to attack there, even though it caused me to lose. Even knowing the decklist, he plays exactly one brazen borrower. If I played to prolong the game, the odds were higher that he would eventually cantrip into / draw a plains and unlock the abundance of white answers, or draw step through or oracle and win without graveyard reliance. It was a really tricky spot and it’s even harder to eventually settle on the decision that knocked me out of the tournament to be “correct,” but I think that’s where we are!

One thing that caught my eye in this match was using the Dead on nomads. If they already have shuko, why waste a removal spell on it that could be saved for cephalid?
