Of you don't want to display in combined mode then you can display them in bot or train modes. The parts can attach either modes so you won't have too many lose pieces.

Quality review as always Kato! I must admit, I haven't had the same issue as you with Kaen/Iron Arm, the bot stays tabbed together pretty well, but then I had a few more issues than you had (if you can believe that lol) on Shoki/Moonshine. I guess that's QC for you? I think you also hit the nail on the head there, that the issues this bot has is the same you'd find in any combiner and the additional weight that makes him sturdy is also what adds to the wobbliness. Personally, it seems a sacrifice worth making to end up with such an awesome piece. I can't wait to get the 2 arms and complete mine. I think to answer the question is this the best combiner may be to determine what it is your looking for, playability as a toy, collectors display piece etc as you say. For me, yes it is the best combiner to date, cartoon accurate, well built overall and a great display piece and I wouldn't be sitting there transforming it multiple times even if it was easier to do anyway. This tops my previous favourite combiner MMC Predaking.

As long as Radiatron isn't as wobbly as Combiner Wars Menasor, then that's a win! Cool looking combiner, and let's face it, that's a BIG BOY! I had entertained the thought of getting the Train Team, but space and other toy lines (Action Force) have made Radiatron a reluctant pass. But, its cool to watch folks like you collect the various trains and put them together! I'd like to see a Raiden team that aligns more with the main line Legacy and WFC figures, that would be sweet!

It's definitely less wobbly than most. Ankles are always tough to make strong. They carry a lot of weight

Of all the MP scale combiners I’d have to say Zeta Superion is probably my most solid.

@@KatosKollection again this is just my experience from what I have. Zeta Bruticus Zeta Superion Xtransbots Menasor (toon and toy versions) Moon Studios Raiden. Toyworld Constructor Superion and Constructor are the most solid and have no major wobble but Constructor is the first run version and the individual bot have their issues. Bruticus, Menasor and Raiden are drunk college kids on a Friday night.

Excellent overview of this monster, as per your usual... I will be admiring this creature from afar as the trainbots hold no nostalgia for me and the figures themselves stray past my price range (To clarify, individually I guess not, but I wouldn't only get one or two members of a combiner team, that I don't have a soft spot for...so that makes it all or none.) Having said all that, it does look impressive! I'm not a huge combiner guy, I actually like the individual Predacons, Combaticons, Contructicons, etc. of the classic combiner teams, but I do understand the appeal of having gigantic menacing looking bots on the shelf or in pictures. Keep the great content coming Kato!

I think Jinbao looks better. And in July, I'll be able to tell you how he feels. Raiden is one of those that I think looks really good but I can see what you mean about playability. The fact that I have no attachment to it plays in my impression of him, surely. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this review, it's fun to see a giant bot once in a while. Sup Kato, I got all 6 on Saturday. jeez I hated/loved it. Took me 5hours lol no joke to go from bot to combiner, then on top of that cool peak that I had np ratchet system installed in his elbow lol. So I'm gonna have to send the arm back but other then that the bot came together very nicely. Looks beautiful on display.

Great review Kato. I only ordered Cool Peak, but these all look great. I think with most, if not all MP combiners you are going to have the same problems you described (minus the panel issues). I am using legends for all of my combiners to avoid these issues.

No competition, except for train mode

Looking at the bot modes on other channels standing side by side, they seemed to be scaled based on which part of the combiner formed. The legbots look the widest, lower torso bot is chunky, upper torso bot is not as chunky, and the armbots are slimmer than the rest. I've 4 of 6 of these bots and this might be the only 3rd party combiner I get, but at least it's one that wasn't released in the US. At least with wide feet, it's can stand pretty well. I remember the G1 combiners not being the most stable though I only had two complete (Superion, Devaststor) and one partial (Computron). Superion and Devastator could be unbalanced and Computron had the bent legs in the back that helped to stabilize.

I have been fortunate, and with the exception of (I think his name is Shouki) the leader/head and upper torso, I don't have significant problems/difficulty with transformation nor with parts staying tabed in. So my combined mode should be more solidified. My 2 arm bots arrived Saturday. I'm gonna combine this guy soon and compare to the other MP combiners I have. My prediction: Stability - equal to the most stable combiners I have. Articulation for purposes of a pose on a shelf - equal to or better than the best of what I have. Overall look and presence - Zeta's Superion will probably beat this, but all the others will probably tie. Thanks for a fair and honest look.
