Since people keep asking the same thing over and over again. The characters are Hua Cheng and Xie Lian from 天官赐福/Tian Guan Ci Fu (TGCF)/Heaven Official's Blessing/Благословение небожителей. It's a chinese BL novel. It also has a manhua and donghua adaptations under the same name. This animatic is based on the song lyrics rather than book plot.

thank u for this, it's so beautiful (T⌓T) the art style is amazing, and the music fits so well. I cried a minute into the video...anything that reminds me of Book 4 & little ghost fire hc makes me extremely sad. No matter how many c-novels I've read, no matter how many years pass since I first read tian guan, HuaLian will always have a special place in my heart! it's just one of those things that automatically make me sob even though I already have a high angst tolerance lol 1:17 rly turned on the waterworks for me, I also love how abstract everything is, even the sequence with xie lian just walking at the start made me emotional 😭, idk why

i cried at the scene of hualian dancing tgt. the absolute difference of status, xielian being so white and pure, and huacheng being so dark and evil, everyone thinks that xielian should stay away from huacheng because it’s like he will “taint” the purity that xielian has. but there they are, dancing tgt, happy and smiling the brightest they ever had, because despite what the world thinks, huacheng is the only one who will treasure xielian and they need each other
