I really love the soundtrack, especially the song sung by Anita Mui

This movie actually has one of the most beautiful soundtracks from back in the 90s. Such a great movie and a great plot with a bittersweet ending. Not all endings are happy.

I wish Anita didn't die in the movie and have a happy ending with Andy. Wouldn't that be lovely?

Well if it makes you feel better you can check out the film Saviour of the Soul. Same three actors with the story of a love triangle between them. I'd like to think of it as a spiritual sequel.

Even though Saviour of the Soul technically came out before Moon Warriors but since it's set in the future whilst Moon Warriors is set in the past. XD

I hate the fact that the writers wrote their antagonist to be so powerful. I get it, he's older and have more experience, he knows war and how to kick ass. But seriously? Not even Andy's character can hurt him?

I remember this film.....don't remeber details, but I didn't really like the film, because the ending's too tragic.

R Ten Everyone but him died. Reasoning was that he deserved to live. They lived their lives filled with war and corruption. They fought only to get their throne back, the older brother fought to keep what he stole. They all have agendas that doesn't help humanity. Andy Laus character is a man of simple needs, he's happy, content, and full of life and love. He offered them hospitality when all they were doing was fleeing because they lost a battle. Without knowing their story, he took em in, because they were human beings that needed help. He fought the older brother because he came in with an army and killed children and parents. Andy sought revenge not to help the younger brother and his two lovers. In the end he lived, his selfless ways had kept him alive everyone was either collateral or deserved it. This movie has a simple genius to it.

I once had a VHS in which the ending was cut exactly when we saw Andy Lau stabbed on the stele, grabbing Anita Mui in his left hand... It was so much more powerful and yet tragic
