SHINee was my introduction into K-pop and losing jonghyun broke me. It’s hard seeing people who help us so much struggle and not being able to be there for them they way they are for us we don’t know truly know what’s going on behind scenes and what their dealing with I loved moonbin and Lee Ji Han they were my favorite idols other than jhope and suga.

Back when jonghyun passed away I wasn’t into kpop yet, I got into kpop around 2018 and only became a fan of SHINee later on, but I vividly remember in 2019 waking up to the news sulli had passed away and I just couldn’t believe it, and then goo hara’s passing literally a month later. It was definitely the worst thing I experienced as a kpop fan.

​@Sarah Gaston, ME TOO! I have never had a bias in music before. I grew up in a home where famous, A circuit and B circuit bands and singers would come jam or practice at our home. After learning so much from them. I learned to appreciate the talent and the music. Kim Jonghyun literally made me cry and I got massive goosebumps hearing him sing. It was beautifully overwhelming. I was sitting in a Sushi Restaurant with my friends and family. Everyone was asking me what is wrong! I said I have to know who this group is and that one voice. The waitress even came over quickly and asked was I okay. I said really loud I need to know who that group is and the guy who sings the high notes. When I went home I started binge watching everything Shinee. Shinee become my strength especially Kim Jonghyun when I was diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. It is sorta similar to Fibromyalegia but the pain level is up to 47 out of 50. Fibromyalegia is 30 out of 50. I can't even go to concerts any type of vibrations loud noises wind cold and more can send me into pain even high enough to be hospitalized. My world was a total mess. But they helped me thru. Of course, I added other K-pop groups, too. But none mean as much to me as Shinee. I have a tribute tattoo I did in 2015 for them, and I for Jonghyun, which after his death I had a little more added to it. Astro is one of my fave groups. I don't have a bias in any of the groups I follow. To this day I still am unable to listen to many of Jonghyun's songs or some by Shinee because I ball my eyes out. I am so shocked at how many of these HUMAN BEINGS are gone from the K-pop industry. Their lives their mental health should have mattered to K-pop fans, the agencies, and media.

I got into k pop 6 months to a year after F(x) and Sulli… but it still hit me. This is the first real death I have faced and it’s just as awful. So sad that this keeps happening. Even though I was introduced to Astro because of Cha Eun Woo, I instantly fell for Moonbin once I started following the group. He was so kind to everyone and his smile reminded me of the crescent moon just like his name. He was and is my Astro bias. When I read the news yesterday, I was shaking. Excuse me but if this was suicide, how do we know hes with God? Only God knows. Taking your own life is a crime against your soul...your life is not yours to take. This has spiritual consequences. You guys.... This shouldn't be happening. This has got to stop. Stop being so cruel in the artist's comments and try to remember our words can hurt. Fans were on V of BTS's account this morning saying thoughtless things to him. And now this. Is it hard to remember that they are people? Is it hard to say kind words to them? They might be celebrities but they do not belong to us and nobody except their friends and families know what's going on and sometimes even they don't know. Just be kinder. It costs nothing. I still can’t believe it. Just seeing his name next to "passed away" or the date of birth and death, breaks my heart. I really can’t believe it.
