I have this combo and with the UM Multiverse Mentor, It's the best IEM experience I've ever had. Yes, very very expensive but if you are looking for end game this is it. Love Cayin.

Owning n8ii and holo may with bliss, I am really not sure you need c9 for mobile use. N8ii provides A LOT of power even to drive 300 ohms like ZMFs dynamics or higher end totl planars like Caldera, DCA units or D8000 pro.

I have the N7 and pair it with both the C9 and the Aroma TB100. Both sound great but the synergy with the Aroma is the best. I have op amp swapped on the Aroma with Muses 02 on the input and Burson Iv5 on the output.

Judging by the sound of the RU7 I bought recently, it sounds like the N7 has some serious sound. The inclusion of a Cayin C9 in the stack will surely cover some of the player's weaknesses, which lie precisely in the lack of a good amplifier. The high timbral fidelity of 1bit covers everything like a bull, a sheep.

It does have have a black background/low noise floor so you would not have noise with most IEMs/Headphones. If you have an incredibly sensitive IEM you would likely get some noise, but this is normal for all amplifiers.

whats your issue with it? have mine for 2 years now, battery is still as powerful as day one and constant firmware updates
