The SL1200G is the best turntable in the market for the price bar none. It is only bettered by its laboratory grade and almost 5 times more expensive brother SL1000R. The SL1000R is also a relative bargain given that is measurable the best turntable ever made for any price. It puts turntables over 5 times its price to shame. Note that the SL1000R is a 1200G with twice the wieght in sound deadening aluminum and other deadening materials and an upgraded motor (of the same design) upgraded to twice the torque to handle it"s twice as heavy platter. of uses a ten inch instead of a nine inch tonearm (I think otherwise identical) to reduce inner groove angle error by a little more than one degree. The SL1200G achieves 98% of the performance of the SL1000R. It is most definitely the best "consumer grade" (fairly well heeled consumer) turntable bar none.

Yeah, I like highs, and I like lows. But I also like to hear vocals, so I like mids. So a Harman curve sounds great to me.

I have both and I prefer OG and I can't comprehend that someone would say UNV are perfect for classic rock, with such a weak slam and less pronounced bass compared to OG. UNV are the last pair of headphones for you - from the TOTL range - if you love rock music. 1266TC, OGS, Erzetich Charybdis are all much better choices.

It can’t be used as part of a home theatre group, at least not yet. You can use it as 2.1 “theatre” but you can’t set it as the front speakers in the bluesound home theatre group 4.1 system.

It's literally $999. I mean, I get you're 'technically' correct (the best kind of correct and all that), but really? No onboard storage, no support for NFS, likely a switching power supply, etc. Yah, truly a 'bargain'!

If you could not make every review a cable review/sales pitch of your own products, these videos would actually be a meaningful contribution to the space. Silver is not detailed. Copper is not warm. Gold is not holographic. Graphene does not open your third eye... it's just very expensive (but cool).

First, a USB cable is not like a DAC or a streamer like you suggested - those measure differently and sound different. Second, if your premise is that an audio USB cable needs to do less, then it should cost less. But it costs significantly more. That Black Dragon cable is just mostly pure copper, which a *lot* of cable companies use. "Companies just don't put the R&D into their cables like they do their device" - I think the engineers at Hegel, Chord, Topping, Mola-Mola, etc have the knowledge to have their products perform using standard cables as long as those cables are up to spec. I get it - you're selling cables; they're super high margin for you. It's fine - they do look very nice. But come on. ;) Even Chord's Rob Watts uses standard class 2 USB cables for his gear and isn't a fan of "hi-fi USB" cables.
