I'm the Tanchjim4U guy who switch is at neutral/monitoring that comment in many of your videos. 06:06 - 07:00 so 500usd is on the table but to throw on which the Brain Dance or the Meteor is difficult for me to make decision between a bit color n versatile VS analytical n resolute, help?! 🙏 also, which one fits you most comfortable the BD or the meteor?

It's not difficult really as you only need to determine your own preferences. You want a more clinical transparent output, you go for DK3001BD, you want something more engaging, resolving but fun with rich-bodied coloration, you get Meteor. Meteor is more musical and smoother than the DK3001BD. Can't have both unfortunately unless you want to get something like Shure KSE1500 or Acoustune HS2000MX MKiii

Andy have you test before on the plane and other different countries like cold and difference ambient in pressure due to sea level etc with a IEM you very familiar with whether it sound different or not? I once heard on a plane my hearing sounds different a lot lol.

Yes they do sounds different when your ear canal have trapped pressure. Yawning will make the pressure goes away🤣

To me it is superior than Variations in every way. Meteor is better tuned despite being colored and makes Variations pale in comparison. Variations is however more appealing to Harman sound lovers and Meteor is more compelling to V sound curve enthusiasts

Mega5 EST is Harman inspired and less energetic with Pace, Rythm and Timing, more relaxing. Meteor is a strong V sound curve with equally balanced lows where Mega5EST focuses more on Subbass, with dampened Midbass

I wonder your unit is the same with I've demo-ed, I compared with Variations, the difference is not that much With Dunu BD, the Airiness on Dunu is exceptional. So I walked out with Thieaudio Origin 😂

If you have the intention to spent 500 USD on an iem, better spent it on iem with EST drivers, not planar drivers.

EST does not guarantee good tuning. In fact it does not matter what drivers being used, if they are tuned properly, single DD can still be superior than most hybrids - tuning and implementation matters more

Nothing in this hobby guaranteed. But you have much higher chances to get better value from EST drivers. In fact, many people who believed in hype and got the Braindance, which also have 4 planars, could not handle it's treble.

​@@AndyAudioVaultDrivers also matter, a cheap driver is not going to sound like a more expensive one, even if both are well implemented, one will be of better quality and this happens with most things around us and comes with a higher price what is normal
