I have always been fond of the TWS market, but never got the ability to choose a kind of sound quality that can math with your regular wired IEM's. Again, thanks for the this awesome review Hbb, I see big things going to take place with TWS iems.

Hey Chris random post on this video, but as an owner of some $500+ IEMs, I finally got a QKZxHBB to try it out. I’m honestly questioning why tf does anything else cost so much more. Simply brilliantly tuned and great quality. I cannot believe this was less than $15 on sale. Seriously there is no need to pay more than this for a great listen. I’m stupefied.

Thanks for this review. I own the Space Travel from Moondrop. The same DSP settings exist but I think they work on the Space Travel. I was wondering if these would be better but it seems like it is not worth the extra money. The SpaceTravel is such a good TWS with ANC and sound very good for the money.

I struggle with all the TWS out there, always a compromise somewhere. I realised I don't need ANC if I have a decent seal on an IEM so just ended up buying TRN BT30 TWS IEM earhooks. Comfortable and I can use with any IEM. I only use TWS on the commute to work so I don't need something like the iFi Go Pods.

Firstly, I really dig the looks of these. The '70s motif is fun. And the buds themselves are that '70s hi-fi silver/grey that I wish would make a comeback. Next, I checked the specs on these by clicking the link in the description. One of the things that stood out to me is a low latency mode for gaming. The Galaxy Buds I use with my Galaxy phone also have that, but, only if you pair them with a Galaxy. The repurposed LG flagship phone I use for gaming duties and my generic Android tablet both predate my switch to Samsung; and while I intend to eventually standardize on all Galaxies I'm not going to just throw away money on stuff to replace other stuff that is still fit for purpose. This set's claimed low latency with many other phones, depending on how it was implemented, would be a blessing. A Moondrop Blessing, if you will. Finally, if I understood your complaints about basshead mode correctly, that's in regards to the EQ in the companion app? What would happen if you just ignored that and used your phone's own EQ or a third party EQ app from the Play Store? With my Galaxy Buds paired to my LG, the LG's DTS X 3D Surround EQ (I think I got all the buzzwords in) makes a noticeable difference compared to what the stock EQ in the Galaxy Wear app or the Galaxy's Dolby Atmos allows. It's not necessarily consistently better, nor consistently worse, just different. They do "thump" harder and have a wider stage for live albums with the LG, FWIW. That's about it. Thanks for the review and the giveaway. I hope I win; because if I don't then I might just buy these 1979s. Would I be as enthused if they weren't quite so retro flavored? I don't know the answer to that one. Haha.

I was very curious about this set. I don't usually pay attention to TWS earbuds as they can't compete with mid-range IEMs, but the planar driver got my attention. But that bass tuning is odd. Not sure how or why it ended up like that. I feel it would be better to leave it at reference/monitor and EQ bass to personal preference, though that kind of beats the purpose of having presets. Price is good though. Can't complain about that.

Honestly it's pretty hard to beat Moondrop's Space Travel if you are looking for a truly budget TWS. This one just seems like a slight upgrade with a nice graphic design on it, but I what I hope to see is improvement on the likes of better tuneability with the app.

Planar tws is a cool concept, but the Golden Ages seem a bit pricey for what they offer. Esp in comparison to the Space Travel, which is not planar but an excellent value overall

I have the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pros and I really like them. They're expensive-ish; but, if you own any recent Galaxy phone or tablet they're kind of an end game TWS due to the 24 bit SSC BT codec Samsung developed for their phones and buds. They're also quite nice in AAC mode when being used with things that aren't Samsungs too.
