Mooneyes New Year's Party is back at Irwindale Speedway. 1,000 classic cars, hot rods, customs, lowriders, muscle cars, gassers, and other amazing antique autos. Drove my 1969 Chevy Impala to this event.

They've always had traffic problems when hosting car shows at Irwindale. This time they had a remote lot for spectators and shuttled folks in, but I'm not sure how many just went to the main gate anyway. When I know I'm going to film an event here I try to get a car show entry since it usually costs the same or less than parking and a spectator ticket. Plus I can keep supplies and water in the car for when I need it.

On your coolant leak issue…now you’re talking my language. It could be numerous things, of which a faulty cap or one with an incorrect pressure rating for the application is a possibility….an older V8 or straight 6 will usually take a 16# cap. It may also me a hose or an incorrectly placed or tightened hose clamp….or it may be that the water pump gasket was misaligned during installation. This is just what I know off the top of my head.

I wonder if the earlier 60s impala are bringing big bucks because Latinos are making good money in this country now?? Or are all the whites getting more interested in them now? Just asking. They are beautiful cars.
