I don't exactly know if he writes a lot of his reviews down before he goes on air, but the way he seems to hesitate and lose his words because he speaks too fast and then, seemingly out of the blue, comes up with those quips and analogies, is absolutely brilliant. The prose equivalent of a car going from 0 to 100 in 2 seconds. And even if he can absolutely destroy a film he hates, his best rants are the ones where he's having a fun allegro meltdown.

I saw it a few days ago at a Cineworld special screening and I’ve been waiting for MK’s take on it! It is so bad it’s good. Nothing makes sense, science is thrown out the window, laughably bad lines, and yet another big sci-fi film that takes conspiracy theorists seriously. But if you treat it like a rollercoaster ride/popcorn movie and just go with it, it is so fun.

I saw it today, and I have to agree 100% with Mark. I wasn't expecting too much but I spent the first three quarters of the movie in utter stunned disbelief about how *spectacularly* stupid the film was...then at the three quarter-mark something clicked in my mind (or perhaps it liquified into mush....) and I started to think: "hang on, they must _know_ how idiotic this is, it's actually being done with a wink, it has to be sending itself up..." Once I had accepted the fact that the film was complete trash, I actually enjoyed looking out for the next howler (and they were coming thick and fast). Oddly, I had quite a good time!

This was my first Roland Emmerich film. I was expecting a ridiculous-yet-fun B-movie, instead it was just an ok B-movie. I felt it took itself a bit too seriously, so it doesn't feel as fun as the premise suggests

I watched Moonfall on Prime not knowing what to expect and found myself cringing at how bad the writing and direction was - utterly, utterly awful. And yet. AND YET... I'd still watch the sequel if one ever got made 🤣 (Not in a cinema though)

Been waiting for a film that gets Mark Kermode gesticulating like this.

So my speakers aren't working, and unfortunately the subtitles don't seem to work either. But just going on Mark's physical reactions I take it this is the best movie ever made. Ima see it!

At the time of writing, I am yet to hear this review. I was prompted to hear it by an article, so it turns out that Mark still does rants of "Sex and the City 2" and "Entourage" levels.

The movie is big budget B movie stuff. It’s a switch your brain off, grab a popcorn and enjoy the ride. I enjoyed it!

It was a Friday after work. I'd had a long week and had been suffering from a bout of insomnia, and my partner said "oh, isn't that dumb film we saw a poster for out today?". We went to the early evening showing with only 6 other people there and it was exactly the perfect relief! So dumb. We groaned at all the cheesy dialogue. We laughed at all the dodgy science. And boy was I in stitches. The effects were good, the moon snake blob looked cool, I really took to John Bradley as a performer, and Halle Berry gave it her all like the trooper she is. The scene with an awkward bespeckled British dude sitting in a space shuttle sincerely using a slide rule absolutely made it for me. Utterly stupid, I recommend it.
