Your dad's an actual monster, you've endured so much at too young of age. It's a miracle that you survived living with Rapscallion while you had to handle everything else you've dealt with.

Back when I was living with a bitter and pathetic man child of a step-dad, I let him gaslight me into thinking that adults are entitled to mistreat their children in all the worst ways, because their word is law and disobeying them in any way is a war crime. I was convinced that my siblings and I were completely to blame for my mom and step-dad's relationship falling apart, because my mom tried so hard to make their relationship work after their honeymoon phase ended and he started to become distant and agitated. I personally don't blame my mom for keeping him around for five years. I looked up to him for a time, and he helped me straighten up when I was a degenerate teenager who thought being edgey and having absolutely no filter were good personality traits to have. He stuck around for much longer than the other men my mom has been with after she divorced by bio dad when I was very young. However despite all that, I don't owe him anything, and I have no intention of seeing him again. Some may wonder why people are so interested in nice guys, neckbeards, and incels. Well, this is part of the reason. They may seem harmless, but they have the potential to be dangerous, and it's important that we know about them.

As rslash said, kids cannot say yes, but they can say no.

As of this posting my oldest niece is about the same age as OP was in this story. If I ever found out her dad or any adult were pulling this shit to break her psyche, I would skip my way to a jail cell after leaving whatever's left of them to the buzzards.

Oh god listening to this fully sounds a little like my grandad. None of the kids really talk to him much now

I know it's Op telling the story, so she survived, but I literally stopped breathing when I heard the pool story. He doesn't realize how lucky he is that he didn't kill his daughter. Also, I feel I have my mother to thank for developing a system for when one of the children didn't want to be affectionate with a stranger. The mother would tell me to literally drool, cough or sneeze on them because if they want that kiss that bad, a little bit of germ won't bother them. XD Maybe it worked a little too well as I really enjoyed militarising it at 3.

A parent who forces their kid to kiss their uncle- is reallllllllyyyy hella weird. There's not even any point of phrasing the sentence different

That "OwLd SkEwL" way of doing things is NOT worth shit. People do not deserve to be traumatized just because some troglodyte is afraid of being looked at as "soft" or "weak."
