Is there any chord you can replace D major with? Or just a chord that sounds similar to it? My fingers are small so it's really difficult to do it since I don't have flexible fingers.

For D major, I put my index finger on the 4th string, my middle finger on the 3rd string, and my ring finger on the 2nd string. (all on the SECOND fret)

Not to take anything away from your great tutorial, but Grace posted a tutorial on FB and it revealed that those Ds at the beginning are actually D5 and Bm7, and then she uses Bm7 (doesn't name it but says bar the second fret) throughout the song.
