My inner child watches this and believes that you are creating all sorts of magic potions and mystical elixirs! 😂 But as an adult, I absolutely treasure these cozy basic videos where you teach us how to make our own all-natural skincare products, tea blends, pressed flowers, terrariums, beeswax candles, and so many other wonderful things. These tutorials are deeply comforting and nurturing, but I find them quite inspiring as well. For me, they serve as a gentle reminder of the importance of self care. And with so many delightful tiny jars and bowls and spoons and scoops and funnels here, each with its own exquisitely tingly sound and purpose, this video really DOES have magic in it! Thank you Diane. ❤ PS Your voice is sounding particularly beautiful in this video. Somewhere between a whisper and soft spoken. Just gorgeous. ❤

Lavender water, this is one of my favorites to make. Lavender essential oil, about ten to fifteen drops in a spray bottle filled with water. Shake before each use, to use on your hair or skin. I found it is amazing for controlling my oily acne prone skin about five years ago. Rose water of course is amazing , it’s also good for the hair or skin, you can make it yourself with fresh roses, buy the oil or find it pre made. Rosemary water, another mix and shake, a few drops in spray bottle with water, good for skin or hair.

So, in regards to the Sandalwood being very thick. Sandalwood trees are threatened it endangered in most of their range due on large part to exploitation by the fragrance industry, and they don't grow well in a domestic setting. They rely on a symbiosis with the roots of other tree species to flourish. As a result Sandalwood "essential oil" is almost always sold mixed with a carrier oil (though not fully diluted), which is why it is so viscous. 😊

I really like your content, it is truly worthy of attention and admiration. But today, you have somewhat shocked me. Essential oils are very serious and far from harmless substances. First: essential oils are dissolved exclusively in combination with vegetable fats, milk fats or sugar. If you just add to n, they will simply remain a concentrate that will get on the skin, and in the case of lemon essential oil, they can cause a serious burn. Secondly: it is simply hyper important for me to apply it to the inside of the elbow before using any essential oil, observing the reaction within 24 hours. Third: for each skin type, only its own oil I sincerely believe that we are responsible for what information we broadcast to the world. Essential oils are not a toy, they need to be handled extremely carefully, and you need serious knowledge, and raising how they work, so as not to harm others 🙏

This is interesting and relaxing. Thanks Diane. Nothing as intoxicating for me as driving thru the citrus groves of California when in bloom. And the blossoms are typically edible. Makes an aromatic tea. Use sparingly bcuz can taste bitter. A flower essence i luv using to flavor certain sweets is rose water. We are opposites when it comes to patchouli and sandalwood as i "covet" the former(patchouli). I am okay with sandalwood burned as incense, however. Patchouli can be nice paired with citrusy notes. Having dry skin and hair, (and being a swimmer, chlorine)i used to slap on any oil until i researched oils which penetrate skin and those that form a barrier. This was particularly helpful when i figured out how to use them directly in my hair. Nice on skin too. My current go-to is peanut oil mixed with a small amount of vegetable glycerin and castor oil. May add sesame too. Glycerin can be quite greasy so use sparingly. Did you know that a main ingredient in many love potions for the boudoire is glycerin? Not only does it have a sweet taste, it is quite slick and blowing air on it imparts a warm sensation.
