Moonlighter is a vibrant and beautiful pixel art game with a relaxing soundtrack and a therapeutic aesthetic, I chose this game to play through because I thought the ambient music would be pleasant to relax to and the visuals would be lovely to rest your eyes upon.

Honestly the Big Sword is a really solid pick for hallway fights and some bosses, it takes some recognition to evade damage with the spin attack

You can go full armor Knight and power truth everything, you must get much more Life Potions maybe 😅

I have the mindset of "It can't hurt me if it's dead" & it's especially helpful when groups of enemies won't leave you alone

Also, Since defense is percentages of damage reduction per point, you can really go with any set of armor depending on what build you want. Just make sure the armor is upgraded or you will take a crap ton of damage regardless of how much hp you have

What? Greatsword is great for bosses! At the very least the slower ones. Use the charge when they telegraph an attack, it makes you invincible and will give you an automatic combo

I'm actually a total goof and forgot to mention the fists, I didn't like them when I tried them though! Greatsword + full heavy armour seems like a fun dark souls build ~ c': ♥

If you're wondering about the fist, they're great imo. It also crits on the third hit which comes out really quick, the damage is good. The best thing about fist is that you can dodge at any time during the animation (except for the charged attack), so it's quite safe. For the charged attack, your character lunges and is invicible on the covered distance, just as if you were dodging, and that charged hit comes out very fast too. Imho it's the best weapon!

I'm new at this game so i was wondering if the steel armor was worth being slower, thanks. Should I enchant my weapons before upgrading them also?

I actually don't think movement speed is that important considering your evasion will mostly come from your dodge roll, so go for it if you want a safe run! I just like feeling nimble and wanted to challenge myself a little. Also, when you upgrade your weapons I'm pretty sure the enchantments disappear, so make sure you aren't making too big of an investment. I usually upgrade before a big boss fight regardless since they can be quite difficult! You got this bro! ~ ♥

I know I'm late but what about the Zelda themed items? The Hero's Sword and Bow? I'm pretty sure it's just like the pure damage output sword and bow, but I just thought I'd ask.

Hey Floofy! It's been a while since I played, but I'm pretty sure I went for the pure damage on the bow since it doesn't proc elemental effects as often as the melee weapons. I haven't ran any DPS calculations but I find the elemental effects on the weapons to be quite useful and fun, so I went for the elemental weapon path. Hope I helped a little! ~ c: ♥
