Bookish_Stargazer 14 Yeah, the kimono jacket was absolutely amazing! The red kimono kinda looks like a Korean cheongsam to me, but when the jacket went over, the entire look became unmistakably Japanese. Love it so much

I LOVE this Miku doll! She's so pretty! One thing I wanted to mention, if you can, you should re-tie her kimono so that it is left over right. Right over left is reserved for the dead

Cutie Frenchie Customs there is some liquitex matte varnish you can apply with an airbrush but other than that i don’t know any other sealing that is safe to use 🙈❤️

Elisa, she’s so PRETTY! And the details are amazing, from the gold overlay of the decals to the resin hair accessories, it’s just...wow! I do have one thing to add: when wrapping a kimono, it’s usually the right side goes under the left. The other way around is for, um... the dead. Just a tip!

some facts about Chokabuki Miku: That big butterfly hair was called hyogo. It was usually heavy and could weigh up to 20 pounds. They were usually ornamented with numerous kanzashi. The elaborate kimono oiran usually wore signified their social standing; the highest ranking of these courtesans were called tayuu. The higher the ranking the bigger the entourage as well. Tayuu had the right to refuse customers, unlike most women in the Yoshiwara, Shimabara and Shinmachi districts.
