For those of you saying she made an Oiran outfit not Geisha, she said she liked the Oiran outift more because they looked so beautiful (at about 6 minutes), so the kimono was modeled after that. She never said the kimono was inspired by the geishas. Maybe if you guys watched the video before automatically shaming her for "not doing research", you would have enjoyed the video.

Animated Sparkle exactly. She put the two things together even though they are distinctly two different professions with two different "uniforms." I'm not knocking her doll making skills. She's a genius. I'm just saying that the geisha accidentally got a reputation for being prostitutes, even though the profession isn't about that. Meanwhile an Oiran is literally a prostitute. She's not exactly helping out with the confusion by putting the two words together in the same title. Maybe I'm just being a salty, rude person, and I'm sorry. But ... Dude ... It reminds me of how some people think rococo and Victorian fashions are the same. It's like ... We have the internet now. Once again, she's an excellent doll maker. I just think her title and overall video is confusing and slightly careless.

Although it wasn't intentional I think the way the black came out of some parts of the hair makes her look like she has some silver hairs which makes her feel like an old spirit. The outfit was so detailed and beautiful!

Oiran means queen of flowers, or head of the flowers. yes they were very beautiful and amazing to look at. They were the literal embodiment of "a bird in a gilded cage". they were prisoners in their districts never allowed to leave unless summoned by a customer or their debt was paid or, they died usually from childbirth or an STD. they had the right to refuse sex as well, unlike their lower ranking counterparts. I think what you made is really freaking cute. imagine a human dressing up as your creation! it'd be a hit in Japan. and just all around cute as all heaven. great job ^^

A tip if you want to dye the hair with sharpie, you have to heat seal it to prevent it from rubbing all over
