Moonraker Maintenance

Your Moonraker should be able to spin with just a finger. If it doesn't, here is how you disassemble and make it smooth again. Please note, gear pin at 00:35 will only be present on Ultra model; there is no gear pin for the Standard.
What you need:
3 strong magnets (neodymium are best)
Mineral oil (baby oil is the same)
Q-tip
Clean paper towel
Tweezers (optional) for taking out needles, etc.

thanks for explaining how to maintain an incredibly expensive product with products you don't sell. I need magnets, nails and evidently and some sort of lubricant. Keep in mind most people are DYI/engineers.

Literally comes with the replacement needles and even the three magnets you need in the box. And various other replacement parts. Not complicated at all

Can you remove the gears to clean the inside part of the clear plastic?

you can, but more advisable would be forced/compressed air

I think the only way to replace it, there is a bottle of new needles in the original box.

@@WeberWorkshops I bought one of the very first Moonraker ULTRAs, which did not include the magnets essential to maintain the unit. Instead of rectifying the mistake, Weber customer experience officer demanded I order another product for them to attach the magnets to. This customer treatment is unacceptable. Hope the issue is resolved promptly without me being coerced into purchasing extra products to correct Weber's mistake.
