They'd only been together for three days when they recorded this.

First time I ever heard this, I was exiting the Underworld in Camden & thought it was a new one from MBV. Oddly, a few years later, I was working at Protocol Studios (where much important indie stuff had been recorded) and Margaret Fiedler (singer on this), then working with Laika, commented on my 'Loveless' t-shirt. Cool connection, at the very least

Damn! I realised I spoken to Margaret Fiedler many years after it happened. I'd spotted Laetitia Sadier at a Beck gig, Margaret had seen this and encouraged me to talk to her. I remember a short American girl with bleach blonde hair. It was 1994.

8 people were watching the Season Finale of Golden Girls when this was playing. Don't blame them, lots of hidden easter eggs in that episode. Requires your full attention.

@Atticwalk Yeah - it's a different more acoustic take on the second track "Coward". This EP is amazing. Even though it owes a lot to MBV........Loved everything Moonshake did when they had their first 1991-1993 line up. That first album Eva Luna and the mini lp Big Good Angel are utterly incredible and like nothing else.

@slctdmbntwrx programmed the drums??? He PLAYED THEM!! Moonshake songs ALWAYS had wicked drum rhythms - and incredibly deep subsonic basslines too (from the second EP onwards)

By Dirty and Divine it was totally programmed. I saw them play and no drummer 😕

It was an awesome debut. Then some genius decided that the guy that sounds like Sugarcube Einar's lost brother would make a better singer than Ms. Fiedler. Can you spell ANNOYING?
