This video tells of my family Moonshining in the woods, hills, hollows of Appalachian Kentucky, the story of murder and intrigue. A special treat is a lifelong moonshiner and a 'Revenuer (Law Enforcement) who chased the moonshiner for years, talking about moonshine making, tricks moonshiners used to evade the law, and ways 'Revenuers would find the moonshiners. A real treat in the video is showing relics from a moonshine still, and a moonshine jug I found on my fathers farm that has quite a surprising treat inside - you'll have to see for yourself!

Nice to see someone who values and knows. family history and its impact is easy to see. Ran cameras for a public access interview show.(many years ago) One guest had a long family history of moonshineing.he actually had a legal moonshine distillery. One thing he brought up (can't remember if it was during the interview.or talking afterwards) was the difference between how interactions between shiners and law enforcement. One area it was peaceful and friendly. Even when the moonshiner was caught. But other regions it was not peaceful and violence was not uncommon.

Mike, I really appreciate you sharing your experience as a camera man on that one, must have been a good, positive experience to do that for public access TV. And thank you for the compliment. I too have heard in variances between the ‘getting along’ and the violent. I have another family video that is only 7 and a half minutes, I think you may enjoy!!! Bob, you know I appreciate you watching my videos. Yes, quite different, lol. This one is only 7 minutes, and it is further intrigue - adultery and maybe murder (poisoning) 100 years ago For Reasons Well Known kzbin.info/www/bejne/emmnc2evarOUfLc

Educational- and its not so long ago. Kids from this environment often became good solidiers in the jungle of Vietnam. They had it a lot easier to adapt, compared to cityboys from Hanoi.
