The Omega Speedmaster is a legendary watch, one that's definitely earned its reputation both through a verifiable track record of impressive feats in the field, but also because of its iconic design - so of course the partnership between parent company Swatch and Omega resulting in a sub $260 timepiece, albeit made from Bioceramic and powered by quartz, led to insane levels of hype back in March of 2022. This is the retrospective look back of how I finally got my hands on this Mission To Mars paired up with an unboxing!

I’m so happy for you that you’ve finally got it. I’ve never heard about all that frenzy around this watch…I was last week at the mall in Pennsylvania and after eating at the food court I was seeing a watch like yours on someone’s hand…it was looking great…I’ve checked really quick just to find out that I’m just across from the Swatch store…got in and seen all the missions on display…I’ve told to the seller to go in the back and get me a mission to Mars really quick…2 min later I’ve walked out with my new watch that I love and enjoy and then today I stumbled upon your video and think about myself that I’ve been very lucky with this impulse buy watch that I never heard before! Victory loves the effort. Happy that you got a Mission to Mars. You have to get a Mercury next, and of course Uranus would look good on your wrist. The Tiffany Blue is magnificent.

Thanks! And what an effort it was 😅 I’d love to add a Mercury (I’m also not sure how much you actually believe in the idea of a Uranus looking good on my wrist VS how badly you wanted to make that joke 😂) but the thing is…I really also want a Timex Expedition North Titanium Automatic 😁

There is already scratches on your 60 sec chrono.If Seiko would bring out the Roger moore 007 watch it would kill off this hype.I saw it in Bangkok airport but just could not bring myself to pull the trigger.

I didn't notice any - what's the time stamp? I'd love to see Seiko enter the arena, I'm curious to see how Swatch (and the watch world as a whole) would react 😄 and yes, I hear you, not everyone will be won over by the MoonSwatches. Good on you for exercising restraint - how do you feel about the Swatch/Blancpain release?

@@thetimist Pause at 6:46 the chrono at 6 o'clock there are like some sort of blemishes at the 60 side by side markers.Swatch/Blancpain seems fine to me ,I actually liked the colourful movement which can be seen from behind.Still the only way Swatch can make me fork out 500 bucks and eating tree bark for months would be a release of a Seamaster x Swatch.The moonSwatch do look nice tho just wasn't worth the price.

@@discountmorty213 Oh I see - ok, so that's just weird reflections coming from the painted markers. I've been very careful with the watch, ever since I saw a video of someone talking about how the box the watch itself comes in can literally scratch the crystal by opening/closing it (if the watch is sitting too high) 🤣 a SwatchMaster would be pretty cool. Give it time, I'm sure this is just the beginning!

It's a decent, fun watch for most - but yes, for watch people would definitely be considered a toy watch 😄
