Like you said, Steve, the most frustrating thing is that Michigan should be 7-1. Instead of being "Papa Moore" Sherrone needs to tear into these guys, take away music, and run every play until they get it right in practices like Harbaugh did. Even with how great the second half was Michigan still isn't tackling well, and you see players give up on plays. Need to get back to that DAWG mentality.

Moore is still learning how to be a head coach vs. a buddy to the players. Getting on his players like he did against MSU is a good sign. No one should be surprised what's happened this year at Michigan after hiring a guy with ZERO head coach experience to head up one of the premier college programs. Moore was not ready for this. It remains to be seen if he can grow into the position before being asked to leave.

Warren was always the best QB of the 3, he has a pretty decent arm and i argue is actually better than cade McNamara. He just needed to clean up his attempts at playing hero ball. I feel like if he played we beat Washington and had a chance at Illinois. But I agree the season is not saved, but we beat MSU so that's always good.

When exactly did Harbaugh know he was leaving Michigan? I'm curious how some think that Harbaugh left Michigan because he knew Michigan wasn't going to be good or whatever excuse. From my knowledge you have to interview for an open Head Coaching position in the NFL, get offered a job and then accept the position regardless of what's going on around you. Did the Chargers already have a signed contract before Jan 26? Washington beat Michigan who has much less, so Jedd must be a better coach, but Harbaugh...?

Harbgh left the team STACKED…and let Sherrone and AD know his intentions of wanting Moore as HC… no surprises. Crappy season is all on Moore. The team was ranked top 10’ to start the season and is struggling to be bowl eligible. Moore a former OC has virtually the worst offense in CFB…with those RBs o-line-pathetic.

You’ve gotta be a spartan.. 2 silly comments on here. They played football. Our Defense stepped up when it needed to, and our offense finally starting looking serviceable. That’s what happened. Aiden had 1 bad play.. and it wasn’t necessarily even bad, just got caught running by one of the best pass rushers in the B10. Happens. Don’t try to take away from the fact that Michigan has been struggling MIGHTILY to find ANY identity or fire all year long. Seeing Warren and Orji celebrating together on the sidelines after Orjis TD was probably the first time all year they all looked like a team. I picked MSU to win.. I wasn’t sure our staff could put these boys in the rights spots.. glad to be proven wrong. Still a little stale at times on offense, but when Campbell was being creative, he was cooking. MSU gashed on runs because Michigan was looking to contain chiles. Other than that, our D was pretty sound all night and showed much improvement in closing and open field tackling. It just happened to be against sparty when it started happening. Sry but, you gave us nothing… but we took EVERYTHING! ;) Go Blue!

We also salvaged from this season: a victory over USC . A certain first team All American honor for tight end for Colston Loveland, and the astute majority of M fans who opined UM would go 7-6 with a minor bowl bid in a major rebuilding year. That being said, the coach is on a short leash, and this victory over MSU stemmed somewhat the tide of fans demanding that he be fired.

As an OSU fan I'm not convinced Michigan is any easy win. If our O-line has these issues Michigan can exploit that and make it hard for us to score points. I think OSU needs to call plays to help out their offensive line or to tempo to keep D-line off balance.

i think mark is being way to generous by saying michigan has more than a punchers chance. a puncher is someone that has knockout power. In football that equates to explosive playmaking. Michigan unless they are facing week d lines in the running game doesnt have that, and their receivers certainly arent getting seperation against Oregons DBs. Ohio State's receivers even had trouble at times getting separation against them.
