Moore Mafia ECU Flash and Tune on my 2021 Yamaha MT-09

 We just rode the bike off the Dyno and took it for a little test run in the parking lot.  Mike and Chris tuned and flashed the bike and increased torque and horsepower by at least 10%. Be sure to check out his video when it publishes I’ll post a link. The bike is now pushing 113 hp with 68 foot pounds of torque.

Hey Mr Mafia. I have the same bike that you just did for mountain drew. 21 mt 09. Hotbodies headers and muffler. I have a power commander installed but you can only get so much and I’m looking to set up the same as mountain drew. I also live in California so don’t ask how I got these parts shipped here, but we did. But could you help me with an ecu flash. Please advise David

How did you get the stage 3 air intake to fit it only says its fits up to 2020. The 2021 can only use the stage 2

Hey Man, I’m kinda new to motorcycling. 2021 was my first full year riding but I was thinking of getting a 2021 MT-09 this year. I love what this ecu flash does to the bike but I was curious if that programming messes with how well the lift control works or if it still works just as good cause if so then I’m all in

To my knowledge, the lift control basically just cuts back the throttle once the IMU enses the front wheel has come up to a certain angle, I think that is somewhere around 7°. But don’t quote me on that. If that’s the case then no, the flash won’t affect it. But either way 7° is not far

it doesnt effect it. if youre truly concerned keep tcs at 3 and lift at 3. I would recommend lowering them overtime to get the feeling of the front wheel coming up anyway, it will make you a better rider especially when you hop on different bikes that dont have the same aid. and its super fun

This is like 15 mins away from me. I had no clue they did flashing and tuning there. I had mine tuned as well. I have the the DNA stage 1 filter and Dominator EXGP3. Reading 90hp @ 6800 RPM. Im a bit confused as to why you arent reading much higher because you have the stage 3 filter. But then again every dyno reads a bit different.

Yes thats correct part number. It does fit I had to make special aluminum bracket.

Did they remove the speed limiter at all? Can you just send your ecu out and have them or someone else do it or do you need to get your bike on a dyno for that?

Speed restrictions removed but havent gotten to test that aspect yet. Dyno not necessary unless major hardware upgrades like full exhaust that affect fuel to air ratios. You can mail in ecu flash without needing to do anything else.

Yep! It’s about a 2 Hour Dr. for me to get down to Chris so that’s pretty easy also I had him tune my previous bike last year they do great work.

The mt09 has various modes. Is the tune on mode 1 and all the other modes are as before or does switching modes dosent do anything now after the tune?

You didnt look that surprised with the results... 3hp gain only and not only that, unclocking snd unrestricting other stuff too 😄 ik the ridability/throttle response etc is obviously better but to what level and what extent? Barely! 🤣 Other bikes get better results idk why yours didnt

the mt09 isnt top end horse power. its mid range grunt. and it just got 10hp more in the mid range. looks like big gains to me

You really need to watch the dyno tuning video. The 3hp peak gain doesn't even scratch the surface of the improvements.
