Let's recap. The apparent goal of Endy is to build a 3 into 1 header using the absolute shortest primary tubes possible, using collector technology from a H-F garden hose triple outside wall spigot, and then weld it with a $39 E-bay, battery powered stick welder, and using the wrong polarity and 1/3 the amperage for the diameter of the electrodes. Sounds like a plan.

All these mods do if they add any horse power is move it up in the rpm range where it doesn’t do you any good in normal use. The bad part is 90 percent of the time it costs you hp and torque low and middle rpm range where you need it. A important thing is it also makes the motorcycle very loud and doesn’t help with the public image of bikers and motorcycles. We need to keep a friendship with the general public or risk more laws or complete loss of our sport. I had a squid come up to a stop by me couple days ago. BMW 900 twin that sounded like a Bahama kettle Drum competition in full swing. When we took off it popped, banged and whizzed!! I am a lover of engines growling though a low restriction exhaust that have a good tune etc. Ugly is conservative for the soundtrack of that bike.

@@papasouzas9703 I’d say that the jury is still out on that one. Pre-flash it made 104 whp which is down a couple of hp on the stock bikes that I’ve seen. And it didn’t even make 110 whp after getting flashed.

Yoshimura redesigned their exhaust for this bike due to ground clearance when leaned over in a turn. This exhaust sits way lower and further out. Just food for thought.

I've got a 2021 sp , yoshimura exhaust, dna air filter, ecu flash and it makes nearly 120hp. loads better than stock. Definitely worth it.

Your tuner is fibbing. 115.9 is best we ever got with sprint f1. Either you have exceptional motor or your tuner is fiddlin with temp, elev and humid inputs to "adjust" final hp/torq numbers.

Had the full Akrapovic system on my FZ09, loved it. Sounded great and good, smooth power. I’ve had full Akrapovic systems on 4, R6, R1, R1, and FZ09bikes now. Always the better sounding bike compared to same models with other exhausts.

I have the Akra exhaust on my 2021 mt 09. Although that exhaust sits neatly under the bike unlike the Akra I still love the Akra sound. Have also the DNA high flow air filter and that makes it even better.

2023 XSR900 Here.. went with the Dominator HP3 Black which was about $850 shipped from Poland incl. VAT. Long Tube header, dual cans with DB killer. Very nice solid Stainless steel.. saves like 8 lbs? which is significant in itself. Finish is great, no restrictions.. Other Dyno flashes show superb curves... should know in a couple weeks when the ECU is returned.

All the MT09s that I've dyno'd and tuned have come out at 110+. The best figures are always with Akrapovic full systems and they are 115 to 116. (That's a DynaPro S125LC dyno by the way, DJHP and DIN CF.) Lextek exhaust isn't far behind the Akra and a huge saving, probably cheaper than that system you've tried there, which I think looks terrible. Scorpion full system is pretty good too but still down a little on the Akra but mid-range money. It would be nice to see you upgrade your dyno to one with load control. You get much better IAP and TPS fuel map results from Woolich when you can use load control.

No doubt that you get what you pay for and this exhaust is just too cheap. It’s not nicely made + the numbers really leave something to be desired. I’d go as far as saying that you can probably get the same 109 hp with the standard exhaust, since it’s only a couple of hp more than what a 100% stock bike puts down. Fine for making the bike louder and you save a bit of weight, but it doesn’t really add any performance.

The SP is not a cheap add-on, might as well get the gucci parts for it imo. I really like my Black Widow exhaust on my Fz09. The welds look fantastic and fitment is excellent. They are out of the UK and very budget friendly.

I got a 2018 tracer 900 and do not think it's worth it to mod the bike. Surprisingly I get 55 mpg with the thing loaded with camping or road trip gear. Perfect bike in stock form. Suspension could be a bit better though.

Believe me factories now they give you the best u can afford and also with warranty (gasoline quality weather conditions etc) . Yeah the Akrapovic is worth double the price because it sounds ten times better. I dont like the way Akrapovic pipes sound on a lot of motorcycles but it's by far the best sounding exhaust that I've heard on a MT 09.

I would do a lot of stuff at the same time that makes a lot more power so the pipe is more about tuning than horse power. But most people think it's going to be all the power in the world.

I had a 93 GSXR 1100 and most people know it is the slowest GSXR ever made but mine ran 7sec in the quarter and would run way over 200 top end in fact a friend of mine that works for the sheriff clocked it at 217 and I had 2300 left on the tack. But I ran out of road and had to slow down.

Baffle made no difference in sound lol, it is not the exhaust I would have chosen. I love the small black cans that Austin Racing and SC project does for example. Any small exhaust like those for less money should do the trick. They sound the loudest on most bikes and weigh nothing compared to other exhaust brands. What is the most rear wheel power anyone has gotten on the MT-09 engine without going stupid expensive like a turbo kit ? Can you reach between 130-140 rear wheel horsepower on the MT-09 engine below 3000$/€ ?

Akrapovic is a bit overpriced but it's a well designed and well build quality product. And the cheaper exhaust looked quite bad, the welding on those headers could have been done by my sister. She never welded anything by the way. It doesn't cost more money to weld something properly, that's just a lack of skills and/or proper equipment.

honestly quite a disappointment... the smaller 847cc predecessor can pull 125HP (with 99Nm torque) on the wheel, with an acropovic titanium exhaust (with modified DB-killer) and a K&N air filter. so to see the bigger badder newer 890CC engine making about 15 HP less... i want to know what is your altitude where you dyno'd this bike? my bike was dyno'd by a professional tuner who does actual track racing bikes aswell, and the 125HP was tested on other test benches aswell to confirm it. all done at sea level.

Ok, my 2c worth. That exhaust just looks poorly made, I have a Black widow (UK) system on my tracer it's a work of art, a pleasure to look at. The baffle has a large exit area and it really howls when removed. In saying that I'm sure the Spanish system is umm, more cost effective than an Akrapovc, and with the midrange power advantage . . .

I had the akra race exhaust and stubby carbon can on my MT09. Sounded excellent and looked like it was made for the bike because it was. That exhaust there is a dogs dinner, looks dreadful. Who would put that on an SP? I just spent £1000 on a titanium Akra can for my 2022 MT10 and saving up for the titanium mid pipe which is another £750. Buy cheap, buy twice.

​@@tarnishedsquid2967 the mt09 may be a better bike to some people, but not to all. when i test drove a 2019, it felt like i was sitting way up on the bike, it was almost like riding a dirt bike. the z900 has a much sportier feel without killing my back like a full-on sport bike would. i could add a quick shifter to mine for a couple hundred bucks, but i haven't had to use the clutch to shift since i bought it so it seemed like it would be a waste. aside from that, they seem to have the same type of tech. the mt09 isn't a much better bike, it's just different, and depending on what you want determines if its right for you.

Inline 4 is always going to make more power. A 600cc inline 4 can even make this power or more. Unfortunately though z900s are turd....if you buy one over an mt09 you made the wrong choice

@@Scouse.Malinois Z900’s are most certainly not turds lol, the MT09 can keep up with until about 100, then the Z900 starts pulling away. I wouldn’t buy either, as I’m not a fan of naked bikes for commuting, especially on the interstate as my commute is 50 miles one way. Also different inline 4’s make different power due to bore/stroke (engine is over square, square, or under square). The Z900 is over square like a super sports inline 4, but not by as much. Also the camshaft profiles also help more with mid range then absolute top end screaming like a 600 super sport. Super sports also rely on gearing, low weight and aerodynamics for their fast top speeds… coupled with a very high strung engine, most 600’s can hit 160 out of the box… also picking a motorcycle is highly subjective. I would pick a Z900 as it’s ergo’s are more leaned forward which is better for the interstate, it’s faster, gets better hp and torque gains with bolt on mods, and in my opinion looks better then the MT09 (XSR900 looks way better then both).

There is only a 4hp gain up high but a loss of hp and torque in the mid range with the Akro. A gain in mid-range is much more important to me than a small gain up top. A 4hp gain up top? I dont think my arse dyno would even feel that! There are some exhausts that have a bigger weight savings and much better mid range performance then the Akro, as well as costing much less...Dominator being one!
