The barrel is a single piece, we've done our best to simplify down to as few components as possible. Loving the forced patina you've created on your original brass pen also! ✌

I've got their original pen and pencil. its a solid piece of kit. The price this time is ridiculous though, compared to the prior releases.

Thanks for this review of an unusual pen. It does appear to be quite robust, yet one that would be comfortable to use. I'll be watching for it's release. 👍 When I started out as a peace officer, we hand wrote every report. Accident reports, incident/offense reports. Note taking and crime scene logs and diagrams as well. Many of use became rather serious and selective in our choice of pens. My preferred choice was a Pentel Excalibur that took a proprietory cartridge. Still have the pen, but haven't seen any cartridges in ages.😒

I can imagine neat handwriting is key if it's needed for evidence. Here in the UK most officers are given tablets to type into. They just have to make sure they're full charged every day 🤣

@@MoorlanderEDC By the late 80's we were able to go find a phone and call an automated system and dictate reports. And several folks would transcribe the reports. That was mess due to the multiple accents of the officers. Eventually most departments went to assigned laptops and officers would turn in a memory stick with reports files at the end of shift. (Personally, I'm glad I retired before that. I'm " Techno-phobic" and despise computers! 🤣)

Now that they have a pen with a pocket clip I'm planning on ordering one. Probably after the Kickstarter is over and they are available from their website. Thank you for the review.
