The weather up north changes unbelievably fast.. what started as a sunny day ended being filled with dark clouds, thunder, hail, heavy rain and being chassed by lightning strikes while going through a clear cut on atvs, it was directly striking the ground behind us as we were moving through the clearing, scary stuff.. we kept moving on the weather cleared up a bit the thunder and lightning stopped, then like something out of a scene of a movie about 4, or 500 meters in front of us 2 bull moose right in front of us, being freaked out about almost being struck by lighting we took it as a message to let them be. Late in the evening after night fall back at camp the weather started to act up again , thunder louder then anything imaginable, lightning and stunning flashes of light completely lighting up the forest around us from pitch dark to being bright as day for a few seconds at a time a cow moose came in to the open area of our camp while sitting in the truck waiting out the storm, few days later on a old service road the barrel splits in half upon firing, i guess mud got in the barrel or something and we were chassed by lightning because of the metal on the atv.

Pink mountain is a great location. Many trips up there..big grizzlies too!

Would not recommend Pink Mountain Outfitters. They were not prepared for our 2021 hunt. Poor communication with hunters, poor planning, poor accomodations, did not meet our transportation needs, limited food unless you like freeze dried 3 meals a day for 10 days. Did not meet my expectations. It was a paid for DIY hunt.
