YES more nance. please keep playing more nancy drew games so much nostalgia for me..
@daveings94856 жыл бұрын
the people in these nance games are so realistic. "my friend was just kidnapped in this building, 30 seconds ago, and it's likely they're still in the building!" "ok cool, i'll just snark, and uh...stand here a little bit."
@daveings94856 жыл бұрын
this game is so dang bureaucratic, lmao. also, to nitpick even more - those dressing rooms are inexcusable?? they're not prop rooms! what's all that shit doing in there!!

I love Ian's streams, but this stream makes me a little sad... I really hope this not-so-good Nancy Drew experience doesn't turn Ian off from playing more!! This is, in fairness, one of the more boring ones, as the earlier ones can sometimes be, but there are so many other amazing ones!! Waverly Academy, Thorton Hall and Silent Spy are some of my favorites :)
@lilyh86077 жыл бұрын
Oohh yes! He should definitely play one of those games! They have much better characters, animation, and drama :)
@charlotteemily38657 жыл бұрын
Lily Harvey Totally!!! And I think it will be a lot harder for him to get completely stuck with no direction at all of what to do next which is seriously aggrivating

I hope he plays Secret of Shadow Ranch or Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon. They're two of my favs, and I think they're great picks for newbies who aren't sold on the series yet.
@charlotteemily38657 жыл бұрын
Yeah! Those are great picks too!! Highlights of the earlier entries in the series, and I think Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon has one of the best settings in the series as well!
@michaelahamilton89196 жыл бұрын
This one is definitely one of the older ones, but its still pretty good. It's honestly better playing as a Junior detective at least for the first time playing it. It would have helped if they added a check list and journal to this one. I love all Nancy Drew games and I'm really glad I finally found someone that has played through a couple. You're really enjoyable to watch so I hope you keep up the Nancy Drew! :)

"Oh no! She must've been taken through that secret passageway! You know the one! The one I should know about as caretaker to the building and you should not seeing as you are a person unaffiliated with the theater who only visited for the first time today! Get right on that! I'll go lock some doors or something!" Poor RoojDaBat. This is gonna be a tough case. EDIT: Also, Brady Armstrong's sweater looks like it's made of tree bark. And his skin looks like it's made of rubber. Let's hope he doesn't "wholesomely smolder" too much or he might burn the building down... EDIT TO AN EDIT: I will admit that I like that he became very helpful as soon as he knew someone was in danger. His character didn't make me think he'd be that much of a go-getter to help out. ANOTHER EDIT: I wish this had been asked when I was actually on the stream (I showed up later), but the "Chips Ahoy song" is originally called "Sing Sing Sing." It's a cool song. That and Powerhouse are two of my favorite big band songs. EDIT TO AN EDIT: Wow, like a MINUTE after I stopped the video to write this, like four people mentioned it. Oh well, I felt cool for a bit. LOOK, MORE EDIT: What was the tagline on that Yak movie poster?! I MUST KNOW!!

Word of advice for when you play more ND, save when you approach the electric fence
@ErstaunlichZeit7 жыл бұрын
The whole "24 hours until we can declare her missing" thing is actually false. I am sure most people know that is just a misconception, but I find it funny that the *police officer* character said it in a *detective* video game. Seems like a bit of a failure on the part of the writers :P

The only one of the early Nancy Drew games that i really liked was treasure in a royal tower. Even that i think was mostly for the cool French story. The later ones, like Blackmore Manor, are better. Secret of shadow ranch, last train, white wolf, and Crystal skull are waaaay better than this one. I don't know anyone that would call this the best Nancy Drew. Precisely because of its lack of direction.
@TheMadPsychologist5 жыл бұрын
I agree, Id say last train and crystal skull are my two favourite Nancys. Even though some people hate the constant collecting of eyes in CRY, I feel like it was spread out enough over gameplay that it didnt bother me and it added to the cool, creepy vibe.

A couple of my favorite ND games are "The Secret of the Scarlet Hand" (old and hard but awesome) and "Tomb of the Lost Queen" (newer and fabulous). Another ND game that hit the sweet spot between too old and too new is "The Haunting of Castle Malloy" (really cool and spooky).
