Quite often during this phase of the rut, the bull moose are pretty much ignored by the cows. It is generally the bull's rut pit they are into, not the bull. (As you've probably seen in any of our crazy rut pit action videos, the bull just stands there dejected, while the cows fight each other to claim the pit.) But in this case the bull is somewhat pestered by a cow who is clearly into him. To the point that he ends up shooing her away a couple of times. Fun moments. Beautiful scenery. Just another bit of incredible moose behavior during the rut.

I'm one myself. I myself am very aware of my surroundings with what I'm doing. Anyone seriously recording should be aware of the noises around them and the noises that they make. It causes distraction in the final product.

That's Rick taking this video. Not usually a mouth breather but It's really a lot of work getting around in that spongy tundra to get to /keep up with the animals (not to mention staying safely out of their way) with that horrid ankle grabbing willow crap always trying to trip you up. Anyway, I didn't take it out while editing for the ambient animal sounds. Sorry 'bout that!

It is terribly strenuous as you say. Everything trying yo trip you. Tge stepping up over or crawling under trees and brush. I challenge anyone to do as well as you both do. I know first hand annually as I try to hunt how hard it is to fo it all and be quiet.
