Yes drain life will do more damage than malefic grasp, but it increases your periodic damage dealt on that target. You would have the best periodic damage dealt when haunt and malefic grasp is active.

After some thoughts about stats, I think it's not only about finding a good balance between haste & mastery, it's also about casting fears faster. After the 5.4 KJC nerf I think a full haste build is maybe the way to go in order to land those fears more easily. Regards.

Best haste softcap would be 21.4% haste with int as primary gemming stat and mastery as primary offstat. Made an excel spreadsheet with full grievous gear.

Hello Reinhart, I still have a question about "bursting as an affliction" : when you get all your procs, you use Dark soul and activate trinket, you reapply DoTs on you target and then you spend the next 15 sec of your burst swapping dots ? Or do you throw a couple haunts / Malefic grasp to benefit from your burst ?

he simply chain casted UA and agony there just as UA finishes casting the gcd is over and hes free to cast agony as a follow up, thats why both the UA and agony debuff appeared at the same time if u watch closely youll see he spent three gcds to apply UA > agony > corruption after that he soulburn soulswapped to reapply everything to stack it on top of the original three to extend their duration with the pandemic passive he's talking about how a gcd spent casting soulswap already gimps further reapplications than their original, and to offset it he uses pandemic to push the dots beyond their default duration, making swapped dots as potent as they are on the original target if not more so

One is a regular SoC, the other is an empowered soul burn:SoC

Yes, I know that. What I meant was that, how can you get the 2 SoC's to come along on the soulswap? Usually, by the time I have cast the second SoC, the first SoC has detonated, and is therefore not a dot anymore, and can therefore not be soul-swapped on to different targets.

But it's a rhethorical question I guess.. My guess is that I don't have enough haste. I have to be able to cast the second SoC, and soul-swap, before the first SoC ticks, since it usually detonates on the first tick.

If you check his health and the date this was uplodaded, this was back at tyrannical. Now the new gear allows you to go higher on the haste side due to that the gear gives you more originally. Then you can go higher on the haste percentage without loosing too much on the mastery side.

mortal coil it is a horror effect doesnt share a dr with fear and doesnt break from dps on target ... its perfect for getting a kill on a healer. its very underrated atm my rbg leader is all ways pushing for more cc >.
