On the first video where we transformed this 383 powered Dodge D100 into a lowered muscle truck with new wheels and headers we found out after a short drive the rear axle had major issues. So lets fix those and get it aligned and resolve any other issues we might find along the way! If you'd like to own this pickup it can be yours for $10,500 American dollars! As always, thanks for watching!

@@tomboone201Back in the late 60s and 70s if you went to the drag strips you always would see Craigars and Aluminum slots used on the drag cars as well as the torque thrusts . I like them all but from what I'm hearing now is that the chrome on the Craigars is much thinner and cheaper so they start to rust very quick and start to peel .

Back when I was doing a lot of alignments. I had a couple of Dodge vans that I had that no matter how tight you got the eccentric bolts the weight of the vehicle would slam the adjustment back all the way in. I ended up getting the alignment spot on and tack welded the washer to the bracket on the frame. After that all I had to do was check the alignment and set the toe after changing components on those 2 vans.

People call them the rain catcher hoods . I know a guy who has 7 of these trucks some used as parts trucks and the others are drivers some with 440 and some small blocks 2&4 wheel drive. He also has a very nice 68 Dodge Dart GTS factory 383 4spd car & is almost finished with his 68 Plymouth GTX convertible 440 car .

Same here, my Dad bought a brand new '75 W-100, short bed Club Cab. Did everything, went everywhere. Came with a 360 in it, Dad couldn't afford the extra $5 a month for the 440. But it got one later anyway. He sold the 360 to our Taxidermist's husband, he's STILL driving his truck with that engine in it. We didn't know it wasn't a 1-Ton judging by how over-loaded it got and how much weight it pulled. I remember the EXCELLENT fuse box location and the huge glove box lid my Mom always flipped down and put our fast food in while we ate. Sold it in the summer of '91 and got a '91.5 5 speed W-350 Cummins, luckily I still have that one. Bought it from him after I talked him into getting a new '97 5 speed Cub Cab Cummins 4wd. He'll NEVER SELL this one. Just paid big $$$ fully restoring it.

The 9.25" rear end for the pickups is fairly beefy, stronger than the older 8.75" rear ends. When towing or performance is wanted, the 9.25" from the late 80's through 90's trucks came fairly often with 3.55 or 3.91 gear sets. Only thing you have to watch for is the axle tubes have a tendency to rot away at the spring shackle mounts. Chrysler never made an overdrive automatic for the B/RB engines, only choices that I know of (and that are kind of expensive) is adapting in a 4L60 or getting a custom built Dodge A518.

The snow in the first clip set me back a little , I had almost cleared my head of that and you had to remind me about winter . Thanks for the time and effort you put into the presentation , My week can now proceed at its usual pace . God Bless you and yours , say hello to MoJo and give Duff Dog a biscuit , he's a keeper !! Mortske may be an irascible old fart (funny coming from me- about 20 years older than him), but he's really smart and quite humorous. I learn something from just about every video he posts, and you know how valuable that information is... stuff you need to know possibly once in a lifetime! One thing I have grown to love and expect in each of his videos is the cut away to an internet meme whenever he uses certain words and phrases ("You can tell that it's an aspen tree because of the way that it is.") I could have a "sammich" with him, except I don't dare go onto his property. Well, that and the fact that I live in Alabama. No matter... I'm still a Mortske fan!

Remflex exhaust gaskets are hands down the best ever... Plus it's a small washington-based business..made in the USA. I use them on almost everything especially big block mopars and Oldsmobiles.... Unless the header flange is extremely warped I've never had a failure.

Never use an exhaust gasket on a Ford, resurface the manifold, copper coat, bolt it on. Are Dodges different?

My first vehicle was a old d100. A mile out for a hill you had to floor it to creep over the top and you have to have oil and gas money to go anywhere. I still loved it then.. Learned to drive in a Dodge van my mom had with 318. Strange after driving Ford and Chevy after the fact realized vehicles don't have to be never ending problems.lol
