I’ve been using the SRT filter on my 5.7 RT hemi and can’t complain. It seems better than the black filter due to reasons stated in video.

The Fram is built like that so they can sell them for $3 and still turn a profit. They're 3k mi filters and probably protect more cars and trucks(along with their generic equivalents) than all others combined. They're not designed to run on high dollar/high HP cars...although I've seen them on a few with no problems at all.

@@moparnation2235 The orange fram filters to 10k miles easily now and look much better than the black mopar with mashed together pleats and horrible spacing. They also filter better.

So why would you compare Mopar filters to a standard filter? Why not compare to a high-end filter?

The only Fram filters I would use on my car would be the Tough Guard or the Ultra Synthetic the Mopar filter is a great filter for the money

My 17 R/T get’s the SRT filter and Penzoil Ultra 5/20 Change it when oil life hits 40% Love my ride and want it to last a long time 😎

What's the difference between the Mopar 899 and 339 sir.. I just did an oil change on my 2017 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi and used the 339.

Wix 57060xp. The long version wix 57045xp. 20 micron fully synthetic supported media vs the stock cellulose paper blend.

Wix XPs are garbage. Built well, but they only filter to 35 microns. most standard filters are 25 microns.

Interestingly, NOW I will wonder IF a Viper APPLICATION Filter , **will or could/fits my JOURNEY 2015 4 CYL, , etc. ? THAT engine of mine also works hard, albeit getting 23ish/MOG. Also, Thanks,!! A couple miscues, but, you made & , should be some good points: esp OEM development ( MOPAR)..... Admittedly, I been using ROYAL PURPLE for longer OCI, AND NAPA Gold SHORTER TERM, USES.....Also, interestingly,**my MOPAR DEALER USES PERFORMAX p-7 FILTERS ( MADE Mexico, last two labeled “MADE USA”, (“DIST by SOPUS” )IN CONVENTIONAL Program Oil ChanGE.....?? ........

FRAM has been lying to us as to how superior their filters are. I remember back in the 60's FRAM commercials "Pay me now, or pay me later".

Thanks, me to MO339, on my 2015;Journey 4=CYL: just put new, one on….DID you find out anything,* other apps// Cross…actually, just switched off of Lifetime DEALER OIL CHANGE(* MOPAR Conventional 5W-20/ PERFORMAX Filters…..) to My PointS TIRE SHOP, VALVOLINE SYN/Filters: bight vehicles, as moved to small Apartment & 75 years yiung

YES, BE. ICE TO know......***Interestingly, I wonder about my JOURNEY 4 CYL: My MOPAR Dealer : uses PERFORMAX- P7 FILTERS, were made in Mexico,etc. ( in my FCA PROGRAM OIL CHANGE Conventional OIL 5W-20 *MOPAR ( was SHELL OIL, ORIGINALLY?? , help me here MOPAR Guys?)........ always of interest!

Shameful; more marketing hype that appeals to unsuspecting end-users who are in looove with their cars. Otherwise known as emotional buying decisions that are based on hype (because that's precisely what the uneducated buyer wants to hear). That hype starts when it is suggested(!) that there is more surface area from one unit to the next. It goes downhill from there. Save your money and buy a 1 quart filter with the proper thread structure that blows this all this hype right outta the water.

I've looked for an equivalent but longer version of the WIX #57899(for 09 & later HEMI's), and I couldn't find one. Mopar increased the diameter of the pipe and went to metric thread in 09. Mopar recommends 8k mi oil change intervals, but I think it is a big mistake to go that long. 5k miles is my absolute limit, and I think that's pushing it.

@@budlanctot3060 I use a NAPA 1515. How long one elects to delay an oil change? Front back or sideways using a long filter will always be a win. Now I must respond to the bonehead who commented on my post over a year ago :^) Stay well...
