Good afternoon, dear subscribers! Today we will get acquainted with Vietnamese traffic in Ho Chi Minh City
In Vietnam, the traffic is very unusual for a European. The country has a high population density, and if everyone switches to cars, there is simply not enough area of the country. High taxes and duties on cars make them rare guests on local roads, and residents prefer mopeds and motorcycles.
The rules here have their own rules. This is especially noticeable in Ho Chi Minh City, where traffic is very dense.
Even with a green traffic light for pedestrians, drivers do not give way. They ride everywhere - on sidewalks, oncoming lanes and crosswalks.
And, of course, mopeds carry anything! From huge loads to entire families - babies and children in front of the driver, wife in the back, and a dog can sit behind the driver.
That said, moped drivers behave just like the car drivers we have - talking on the phone, looking for directions on the navigator, texting, and even chatting with friends on the moped next to them.
