To comment on whether Clay is aware of his attraction to Danielle. I just got done watching Season 2 Ep 2 "Love" and Clay was comparing pictures of himself and Danielle to Shapey. He then held his and Danielle's pictures and pressed them together making kissing sounds. He is DEFINITELY conscious of his attraction to Danielle but too afraid to act on it because it would cause an identity crisis.
