Morality for Youth (1982)

An accident on a youth rafting trip is used to illustrate the dangers of flirting with immorality.
Includes audio of LDS Church President Spencer W. Kimball urging against masturbation as it can lead to "exhibitionism" and "the gross sin of homosexuality".
This film was part of a major undertaking by the Church to educate their youth better about proper sexual conduct and was not made or displayed lightly. The presentation included a booklet for leaders to use to guide group conversation after watching the film (this booklet can be seen at the following link: imgur.com/a/YqcrX).

unfortunately not everyone even can get married so it's cruel to say that you need to be married to have sex ugh how dumb! Plus how on earth is getting married to someone you have known for a month just so you can have righteous sex more righteous than just doing It and getting to know the person better to make sure you actually want to marry them and are not just getting married to satisfy your hormones? If you ask me marrying someone you barley know can lead to alot more problems than just doing it!

@A P well if they can that's absolutely great! But not everyone is happy like that and to be honest most usually are not. And it's not healthy. And it should be respected either way and if someone is happy without sex GREAT if they're not then a life of celibacy should not be forced on them. It will not bring them joy. Getting married to someone you have known for a month does not make you any better or cleaner than someone who just does it. In fact it can end up causing chaos for people who realize they didn't actually know their partner and they are not compatible at all. And people have ended up married to abusive people and that can REALLY suck! And the abusive person just put on there best behavior for a bit so It's just better for you to actually know who you are marrying. I mean if two people REALLY want to get married fast cause they can't wait for sex but feel it's the right thing to do for them then I mean it's there life and they can do what they want. If they feel it's best for them then thats great! They should go ahead and do what's best for them! HOWEVER they shouldn't be so judgmental of people who have premarital sex and actually get to know each other. And you need to realize there are people in situations out of there control that may make marriage alot more unlikely or perhaps even impossible for them and telling them they cannot ever have sex in this lifetime is JUST cruel I mean would YOU be happy if you were told you could never be able to have sex in your whole lifetime? Would you yourself be willing to take that on for a whole lifetime? If the answer is no then is it REALLY ok to try and tell someone else that they are not allowed to ever have sex?

@A P Again would you ACTUALLY find greater happiness in total chastity for your entire life? Would you yourself be willing to do that? Do you really think that kind of living would bring you or most people happiness? "everyone is free to choose I think the video said that" well that's good but it would be better if the church actually taught that you should have a choice to have premarital sex or not in a NON threatening NON judgmental manner this video isn't EXACTLY what we can call NON threatening to say the least! And also it would be great if the church would teach the members to be less judgmental about it as well that would be alot better and cause people in the church alot less unnecessary guilt, shame, and stress! If they just taught you can choose to have premarital sex or not whatever you think is best for you it's cool if you do and cool if you don't and just have a chillaxed view on it then that would be great! That's really the way it should be.
