I love Morathi, one of favorite characters & the models are awesome. She was always my only named hero in my Dark Elf army in WHFBs. I’d love to start DoK in AoS, but the cost is just enormous. Your painting is just beautiful, love the colour pallet you used.

Thanks!!! If you ever do want to start with DoK, I reccomend just picking up a small warband at first, then you can play Warcry while you slowly collect an army for AoS over time

Broken Realms: Morathi (and your excitement about it), and a particularly well-timed one-shot of Age of Sigmar: Soulbound that my friend ran, are the exact reason why I bought my first ever Warhammer Fantasy army back in October. I now have Warcry, the DoK warband from Underworlds, a box of Witch Aelves, and the Morathi figures. My friends gifted me with the Start Collecting box, and the DoK half of the recent Warhammer starter set. There's something really wonderful about the very real emotions that Morathi has. I can't help but sympathize with her, to see something of myself in her. It doesn't hurt that I also came out as NB this year and there's something wonderful about the way that Morathi exists as two whole beings at once. And I love that the faction are dedicated to murder, but also somehow on the side of good! That constant dichotomy, that constant tension... ah, it's the best! Thank you for sharing this with us! I can't wait to build up my army and get in my first ever games with them.

Morathi was my favorite character right from her release in sigmar. I always thought her story was interesting, and her ambitions were what drew me to the army. It's great to see that GW is still giving this faction the proper love it deserves

Wow, watching you paint, it's so organic, it grows and changes like magic. I paint similarly with washes, drybrushing and glazes, but I'm definitely going to have to learn how to use an air brush. Doubt I'll get as good as you but I can see how it will up my game.

Love the contrast between the warm colored wings and cold colored scales! I've always loved when people paint something that's opposite of the grim-dark aesthetic adherent to 40k and somewhat in Fantasy/Sigmar. Your bright and vibrant paint schemes inspired me to also make a bright neon scheme for my new Necron army. Rather than the common bronze/gold/silver with a touch of color in the energy weapons.
