The fact that he keeps every ally on your board for as long as you are the one slaying your own allies really does make him feel like the god of death he is. It seems the blue fortress looking mordekaiser is pretty much confirmed in LoR to be his stuck in his own realm appearance. From this I think we can assume LoL's Morde design for his physical manifestation and his physical form briefly entering the death realm are accurate still.

In the description of Lord Mallat card it is stated that he is not. He is defeated by Nila and warned her that Mordekaiser cannot be defeated with joy, it just can lead to him becoming outrages and earlier danger to the world of living. Probably Mallat is just a close follower of Le’Blanc who knows details about Mordekaiser’s imprisonment, so he was captured by Nila’s team.

I don't see it as a problem especially with his spells compensating as his defense. Also, fitting considering in his past life, he was a warlord, probably choose his opponents and allies, and the challenger at his current state is him choosing who to make as construction material or warrior, both pragmatic and echoes his past life before his second and third revival.

@@AllYourPals He's the iron revenant. Meaning that he's essentially a ghost possessing a suit of armor. Obviously, he's tough, but the big lore reason why he's so hard to deal with is that he endlessly revives as long as his armor is around. They thematically represent this by making indestructible a spell that gives him deathless. For balance reasons, you can't make a unit as deck defining as Mordekaiser too difficult to kill by giving him too much built-in protection. On top of this, there are region identities and Noxus/SI units generally shouldn't have easy access to keywords like tough.
