March-June 2024. I explored Eastham's rich history and then slept in the woods on Eastham Hill.

Brilliant video again. Thank you Will. I thought I knew the area well but have learned a lot from you - again! You should have your own Tv programme. Many blessings to you from a fellow croc wearer 😃

You did a great job with this video! I live not too too far from Eastham, and yes i've visited all those places. We once thought it would be a great idea to spend the night in our van in the car park, but it turned out to be a dogging area! LOL! So we went home instead. You were brave to sleep in the forest on your own.

Thanks for the kind words! Lol @ your car park story. I walked through there on a Saturday after midnight... had a squadron of boy racers down one end and a car with all the windows steamed up down the other end 😆

Great video as always Will. Those woods looked a bit sketchy to be sleeping in tho, wouldn't wanna get any unwanted ghostly attention. Also your utter disgust that people didn't know about the tree made me chuckle. Looking forward to the next video. Stay safe, but more importantly, stay cute. FERDA WIRRAL

Very well researched, loads of info and history I had no idea of. Camera work brilliant as usual. Really atmospheric this one, there a real precence in them woods. I'm gonna find that tree and pay my respects 🌲

You're too kind! Thanks though it means a lot. I was forced to film this over several months due to a lack of free time but it also allowed me to try and capture the different vibes between night and day. 100% soon as you get up to the first fountain there is a palpable atmosphere! And that's the spirit, a wonderful tree, mind-blowing how old it is.

Proper Jacket that, Billy lad. Excellently researched, brilliantly presented, and beautifully filmed, as always; a point you failed to mention, Bill, was, de Stanley and Joan Baumville parted company early in their relationship, due to circumstances beyond their control. They remained star crossed lovers, however, and when he finally reunited with her some 30 years later, he was astonished to discover that she was 23 stone, so he legged it. Great vid, Billy, your best mini documentary to date, imho. I used to hear the manic 3am laughter when I was on nights at Carlett Park college, and could never identify the source; always suspected that it could have been Jays dawn chorusing - they're brilliant mimics.

Nice one Barry lad, and lol @ Joan. And it was defo laughter, that's happened to me once before working outdoors in Barnston, fell asleep in me car next to a muddy ditch full of copper and woke up thinking a demon was in the surrounding maize fields. A weird phenomena were your eyes open but your brain takes a second or two to catch up lol.

41:58 It’s got a great fox community there. I’ve watched them at night frolicking away. They’re brave and will come close if you’ve got food to share. 🦊

You could be right. I didn''t see any foxes in the woods but seen 2 on Ferry Road and one up near the Country Park. All whilst the sun was down. When I was led on the forest floor in pitch black I started getting mental images of waking up face to face with an angry nocturnal critter lol, so I ended up turning my bivvy into a cocoon!

P.s we learnt a few new things from this one that 1700 year old tree blew our minds 🤯
@WirralWill10 күн бұрын
The tree is stunning. I found out after filming that there's also an old sword inside the church which was found hidden in the higher branches of the Yew. Nobody knows how it got there and its age is unknown 🤔

@@WirralWill holy moly that's crazy that haha , it's crazy how all this history is all around us and we don't even realise most of the time 👍 it's mad to think what someone might of done with that sword as well if they had to stash it , the plot thickens lol
