@@newagecosmonaut8563 Hey! Started doing much better after absorbing some of these tips. The game unfortunately doesn't do a great job of teaching these things, but these channels do! I struggle with some enemies, but with careful positioning and good focus usually I succeed! The most annoying probably are Sisters of Sigmar x_x

I've been lucky to find the leader alone so far, so I just surround him if possible. He always ko's someone even during a 4vs1 battle... Once he's gone it's business as usual. Even if they have me 1v1 for each unit. If I focus everyone on one unit, they lose a unit while I take regular damage. So I just mob and focus everyone on a single unit at a time. I am only as fast as my slowest unit..

Not sure if it was mentioned, but w/e. You can charge this terrorizing enemy, you can't spend points which was already used. Especially when you engage with your henchmans. They have 3OP and Terror will decrease them to 0 so why not to charge anyway for +50dmg -10% chance instead of 0% chance cuz of low terror% test

Just bought this game, gotta be honest, the first few hours playing it ive never felt like punching a hole in my monitor more. Very infuriating game. But now im hooked, got a Skaven warband up and running after a disastrous try with the Possessed.

same XD im starting as Skaven because i love these guys . which appears to be on the harder side . as i realise now they are way more squishy . kind of a shame tho . that the only way to play any faction is by picking up stray and overnumber them . it gets so much easier late game . i built my skaven assassin hero to have 90% melee resist and he alone can tank everything XD almost every attack at him misses XD ohhh and warpguards are soooo good with parry also .

Every time I try to fight the Vampire lord or hell even just the hero unit they always manage to crit 1-2 of my guys, both stunned. And like clockwork the rest of his band shows up, usually killing one of my leader units and 1 of my henchmen.

just got this game...i cant even beat the first two fights, tried with 3 different warbands...if its that hard in the first two fights theres no way i can handle this game lol

The game actually gets a bit easier as it goes. I recommend you keep your warband at the minimum which is 4 units. Keep your warriors grouped, sometimes its tempting to split them up to gather more wyrdstones but its too risky at low levels. If you gather them always have your others close to each, there's been times where i risk it to grab a cluster and i end up walking into an ambush that ends up costing me 1 or 2 units.

What Warbands have you tried using? I've used most of them on both the PS4 & PC version of the game. Each Warband has it's own unique strengths & weaknesses. Here's a few examples: Skaven: Very fast and they have, by far, the best mobility out of all 6 Warbands, and they excel at "swarm" tactics (you can even teach them a passive skill that buffs them whenever they are ganging up on an enemy with their allies), and they also have a penchant for using poison with their unique Weeping Blades melee weapon & their DLC unit, the Poison Wind Globadier. However, they are arguably the worst Warband when it comes to one-on-one fights, so they are best suited to either swarming an isolated enemy....or hit-and-run tactics....depending on the current situation. They also have what is, in my opinion, the absolute worst Impressive unit in the entire game. Cult: They tend to be pretty slow compared to the other Warbands, but they are also fairly sturdy and many of their units don't care about Terror, Fear, or All Alone checks. They are also one of only two Warbands in the game that let you start the game with access to magic (the Cult Leader, the Magister, is the warband's primary spellcaster, though if you have the DLC, the Doomweaver becomes an option for a different magic-user) They also get the unique Mutation mechanic for their 3 Heroes & their Impressive, which if RNG is kind to you (as all mutations are given at random) can make their Heroes & Impressive among the absolute strongest units in the game. The biggest weaknesses of the warband however stem from how random the mutations you get are, a great mutation can easily make a unit's usefulness skyrocket, while a useless or outright bad one will make them more of a hindrance than a help....and some of their units cannot Disengage or Flee once they are engaged in melee combat, they have to fight to the death (unless their enemy runs from them instead), which can make maintaining a strong formation a bit trickier if you don't have a way to deal with that. Undead: They have the most expendable Henchmen in the game: Zombies (losing a Zombie will not reduce the warband's Morale by a single point, so the Undead can actually afford to lose a Zombie or two). And with only 4 exceptions, the entire warband is 100% immune to Poison (the only exceptions to this are the Dreg, Necromancer, Ghoul, & their Impressive), and only the Dreg & Necromancer are vulnerable to Terror, Fear, & All Alone, all other Undead units are immune. And if you only use Zombies as your Henchmen, then you only need to realy worry about keeping your Leader and Hero(es) alive (since only the Leader & Hero units will influence your warband's morale). They also work very well with the Poison Wind Globadier, since your Globadier(s) can just drop poison globes right on top of your undead units and do them no harm, while still injuring the enemy units they are in melee with (provided you aren't fighting the Undead *as* the Undead, in which case, the Globadier tends to get relegated to the role of a highly mobile attacker due to their poison being worthless against the Undead). Mercs: They seem to be the most "newbie friendly" of the Warbands, as they are a sort of Jack-of-All-Trades warband, being good at (and eventually gaining access to) just about everything, though the downside is that they aren't as good at those things as the more specialized warbands are. The Sisters & Witch Hunters I have very little experience with however, but the Sisters are the only other warband aside from the Cult to start off with access to magic-users. And as Alucardas suggested, try to keep your Warband small at first (makes it easier to manage, and also will make it easier for you to learn how to handle things). The AI warbands that you fight against will always match the numbers and composition of your own warband, so if you bring your Leader, one Hero, and two Henchmen, then the enemy warband will have a Leader, one Hero, and two Henchmen....but if you bring a Leader, two Heroes, an Impressive, and two Henchmen, then the enemy warband will consist of a Leader, two Heroes, an Impressive, and two Henchmen. So you will never have to worry about entering a battle where you start off at a numbers disadvantage for not bringing as many units as you possibly could. So you can use this to your advantage once you get used to it, and also use this to help you anticipate what you may come up against. Another possibility could be to look for other people who play the game and play some matches against them (with or without consequences), as other players will almost invariably play much smarter than the AI, and if you're able to outsmart and outplay another person, then you should also be able to outwit the AI. Also, the AI isn't very bright. The instant an AI unit spots you, they will usually beeline right for you, heedless of the possibility that you may be luring them into an ambush (which is something you absolutely should do whenever possible!). And perhaps most importantly, DO NOT TRY BRUTAL OR DEADLY MISSIONS until you are much more experienced with the game, AND have very strong units that can handle that sort of difficulty, as missions of those two difficulties can potentially throw an added "obstacle" into the mix that you will almost certainly not be ready to deal with until your units are much, MUCH stronger than they were at the start of the game.

A pretty useful and interesting vid :) *tumbsup* If you feel like it, I would really like to see a video about dealing with "impressive" foes, especially at the knackpoint, when you have your own the very first time. If yours starts from scratch, the enemies already has leveled. I read "yeah, just save money and buy a leveled one", but it would really help me to see a video about "dealing" with enemies if you just have a level 1 one.

Ugh dealing / trying to keep a level 1 alive is hard. Put them in heavy armor or just try to keep them out of the way honestly. Travel as a group and have them in the middle. You can take advantage that the enemy will always try to focus them so you can kinda force the enemy to awkwardly move around other units in order to try and get to them. Just play very safe honestly.. I don't think it's needed to waste all the money on a high level though.

Any ideas on how to deal with Crypt Horrors? I fought one for the first time yesterday and my units were constatly terrified of him and couldn't even attack him. I read that charging is a viable tactic but once you charge and engage what else can you do, if you don't even have OP to disengage?

It's why I always have some of the war-band with moderate leadership (the ones with demoralise etc) it's risky tanking them though and better for agility tanks I think because dodge and sidestep is a better way to stay alive. If you have range then that's the best way because it'll avoid the fear test. Honestly it's tough. :D

ah! - That's perhaps the best tip I can give then :D don't bring one unless you are very well prepared to kill one :D Personally I avoid using them. There's some leadership skills that will give hit bonuses to party memebers, that will sometimes help compensate too. Also attacks that lower their attack points like some poinsons are handy dandy. Without all that tho i'd just avoid :D

Undead are so nasty against skaven, I'd say it's easily their worst matchup. Your MVP night runner with his warplock pistol poison build who shuts down heroes and impressives, pffft, undead laugh at that shit with widespread immunity to fear, all alone and poison plus unrivalled resistance to crits thanks to racial unique skill.

This is all true though, fortunately it's fairly easy to take advantage of their AI though, no matter who they are.

Just cheat. Download save to usb or save state. It's fine, bro. I promise no one will care if you finagle the game a bit to get around its broken mechanics. also, melee resist parry tanks with maxed leadership will solo entire warbands by themselves.
