So is the next step to build a sewer layer between the catacombs and the city, maybe with some sunken basements or entire structures in it (look up the Seattle underground if you don't know what I'm talking about en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle_Underground ). I could see using one of those modular wire shelves as a scaffolding to support each layer.
