So Warrior Elite says to choose an order to be effected by. So you can just choose to have an order effect them even in a transport.

Ursula CANNOT use Reinforcements for free. It is clarified in the Balance update just released. It is a strategic ploy stratagem, Ursula can only use battle tactic for free now.

I'm planning to run the "all in" variant in my upcoming Scions army because the Regiment I'm working on is the 713th Valpasian Fusiliers (a regiment in honor of my old Army unit) using the Les Grognards kit as the base. Scions get the tall hats, Kasrkin get the helmets, and officers get the flat caps so at the 3' Test range, my opponent can distinguish between the units

I love my Kasrkin. I made the same observations as you when I fielded my two squads of Kasrkin in 10 Edition. I already used them in 3 of my 6 battles with great success!

Best way of explaining it was on sentinels with deadly demise, deadly demise says a unit is destroyed but before it is removed roll... which implied you could target a destroyed unit before it was removed. (Or at the very least sentinels could be both destroyed and on the field at the same time while deadly demising)

50% the comments are people who think they super smart, 95% of them didnt watch the video, just screaming at nothingness at screen. Regardless ima keep posting this for discussion/anyone who still doesnt realize this: Creed's tactical genius was PROBABLY always intended to be used with Fields of Fire every single turn. Its effecient, easy, and it constitutes 10CP generation. It took the designers saying "only regiment units" and then finally saying you can only use it on battle tactic, along with "YOU ONLY HAVE ONE BATTLE TACTIC STRATEGM" L00l its super strong and guard needs the stacking AP, which again alludes to the line allowing it to be used even if you already did that turn. Stop arguing about whether or not it was possible because whether or not the unit was destroyed/on the battlefield/ whatever, muda. It could go either way argument wise. The designers dont want us to use that like THAT because they assume FoF. Get there ppl, get the guard winrate up.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Benefit of Cover doesn't stack with Take Cover for Sv2+ for Kasrkin against AP0 attacks. Benefit of Cover can't improve the Save roll over 3+, and the Take Cover order already puts the Save characteristic on 3+.

I believe saying "a 2+ save" in this context is a reference to AP -1 attacks as you allude to. Take cover order, as well as the benefit of cover would give a Kasrkin a 3+ save against an AP -1 attack.

Right! So Take Cover changes save characteristic to 3+. Because they are at a 3+, the actual cover essentially reduces incoming AP by 1 (they'll still save on a 3+ against AP-1 weapons).

I really do want to put them in a chimira 170 pts now I think the damage they do is worth their points. Maybe I just lobe mech guard to much I run 4 turox primes and 3 chimiras, so maybe I'm just weird

i think that castellans should get scout 6' so that they don't break kasrkins' scout and then the unit would be actually competitive. Kasrkin with a commander deal immense damage, I often play 20.

I think creed in a kasrkin squad is a waste, however putting her in a cadian squad with a cadian command squad with vox medic and 2 special weapons as creed allows 2 orders on her unit as well. Psuedo kasrkin squad 4, and then the cadian command squad commander could order the mortars in the back....

Honestly my biggest complaint is that for their cost they arnt very elite. Death korps are 30points more with compatible damages and twice the durability. Unless in struggling for 30 points I feel like it's always better to have more death core. Unless I really wanted some more scout movement. But scout sentinels also meta so they got that covered

Who is the ideal target for your kasrkins? My buddy's play custodes and tyranids....in 10th edition their guns feel very ineffective against custodes and situational against tyranids.

@@dominicl5862 - does the math work out in that? 6 plasma and melts shots from close range; 4 hit and 2-3 wound. Custodes save half with their 4+....so maybe 1 - 1.25 through so if you're lucky it's one dead custodes. Next turn....they wipe out your 100 pt squad.

@@Cronosification In a vacuum ya, but I think Guard works well when like 3 or so units decide to obliterate a squad. Re do ur calcs with reroll 1s to hit from scout Sentinel. Extra AP from FoF and Autocannon Lemon Russ. Plus at the end of all that if they do whipe your squad you just reinforcements. I don't think a custode is 100pt per model, but the guardsman are trading up.

Free strats can only work on "Battle Tactics" strats as of the latest update. Which means Creeds freebie couldn't do Inspired command. It can only use Fields of Fire.

Its a little underwhelming that Creed can only use COMBINED REGIMENT for free, but if combined with a mortar team, giving a psudeo "oath of moments" every turn for an additional AP is not bad for less than 60 points.

I believe that they would be able to have 3 Orders on them. All Units can only be affected by 1 Order. However, Kasrkin can Order themselves in addition to the standard "1 Order" rule. Ursula's ability is separate from the Kasrkin Ordering themselves. So, she changes them to be able to take 2 Orders instead of 1. Thus, I believe they can be affected by 3 Orders total with Ursula.

Previously Ursula could use reinforcement for free. It says that the unit can still be targeted with the strategem even though it was destroyed... but now only battle tactic type strategem can be used for free..

"The model is destroyed" at that point it is still on the board, "then destroyed model is removed". So in-between the two the strategem could take place

Can someone explain to me why warrior elite doesnt count for the Kasrkin in transport? It doesnt say that they are issued an order, it just says they are considered under the effects of one in your command phase, not that they order themselves. Any explanation would be appreciated.

For all the people pointing out Ursula can't use Reinforcements for free anymore. She never could. Yes you can target a destroyed unit, but Ursulas free strat specifies 12 inches and the unit isn't on the battlefield anymore. So she NEVER could use reinforcements for free (not by RaW and likely not by RaI either).
