As usual, this wouldn't be a Markie P video without some rookie errors! I've noticed I sometimes used the word "replacement" where "upgrade" would've been more appropriate. For example, the nd3 is being suggested by Rega as an UPGRADE for the Carbon on the P2. Hence my assumption that it is a REPLACEMENT for the Bias in Rega's range. I also incorrectly described the position of the cantilever - it's "the little road that pokes out of the cartridge CASE." Silly me!

Would Rega provide either a retipping service for your existing MC cartridge, alternatively would they offer an exchange option where you’d be able to get a discount off a new cartridge in exchange for your existing one. Most MM cartridges have a replaceable stylus which is easy to do, but it’s not possible with the these Rega cartridges. I’m sure, Rega being very customer focussed would look to provide options for re tip or exchange etc

I’m sure they’d offer a re-tipping service. As I said in the video, they repaired my Ania at no charge, but that was in 2018/9.

How much can I get in the exchange with my old Elys2 for a new Nd3?
@MarkPMus3 ай бұрын
@@mauriziolagaxio4954 I think that would depend on how old/knackered your Elys2 is. But look at between 25-50% of the Elys2 value. Back in the day, Audio T (Rega dealers in the UK) would sell customers’ old Rega stuff via their stores, but they’ve stopped that scheme now. On eBay then, start the bidding for a good condition Elys 2 at around £40. In the description, give as much info as possible about when you bought, how much wear and tear it’s had, and include as many photos as you can. And of course, you’ve kept the original packaging and the torque tool for adjusting the screws in the head shell. If not, start the bidding at a tenner and hope your next purchaser has a box and torque screw! Either way, it’s good to honest from the start about whether you can provide these.
