It's funny how so many of the old collectors wanted as less of a cancel as they could get . Now they want to find the socked on the nose cancels and or fancy cancels which most of the old collectors wanted to avoid.

enjoying your videos. have been collecting whatever Australian stamps or sets that came my way for years.Did manage to collect lots of the states but looks like i need to work on my kangaroos. I purchased an estate lot of boxes and got small envelopes full of the KG (heads) stamps and others individual and many of each some as many as 100 in each. so looks like i have my work cut out for me .

@@johnscamardo2145 yes John you have some work ahead of you with that estate full of boxes with those stamps- but very enjoyable work no doubt !!! Are they King George V stamps ?

yes the KGV with the double animals at least most of them. also got several on piece higher shilling and pound values of different later sets that the previous collector saved. learned from your vids and a little research of different color varieties due to the ink changes and shortages of. So looks like i need to do some research on them b4 i trade or whatever.I also got some old albums out of the 9 boxes which had some odds and ends of many countries.Got lucky with lots of early Victoria issues including a penny black and tons of reds , blues perf and imperf. There were also some NZ small envelopes like the type of Australia but not anything that will be a problem to go through.wish there had been some of the kangaroos but of course only ever see a few here and there when i do.
