A fact about the cow you showed at the 9 minutes mark is that the metal tag/clip in her ear is to show she is brucellosis tested and vaccinated. That’s a really old cow. All of the new cows look good. Best of luck with them!

At least cattle aren’t like an established flock of chickens going after newbies to determine the pecking order. They blend into the herd naturally. That’s quite a sizable herd you now possess. Great going!

I noticed when I was editing the video! Yeah she wasn’t sick. All the calves ran across the field to move and it was dusty. So I’m guessing she just got choked up. Went out and checked her yesterday after I saw it lol. She’s doing just fine though.

@@FarmandHammerI’ve noticed a few cattlemen utilize the practice of quarantining new cows for several days to make sure they didn’t come from the sale barn with a cough (or worse) that they could spread to your group of acclimated cattle. Do you utilize this practice also? Why or why not?
