If I used them I’m not sure I’d want one of those Okuma reels. You have a bit of a puzzle to figure out but I know you’ll make the best use of the reel parts you have! I got a DAM Quick 550 earlier tonight. I went back to look at your video on that reel. I’ve wanted one ever since I got a 270 Super and a 331.

Love those reels. I just got a box of clunkers and there is a DAM in theres so, I will have another to work on - Dennis

Curious what is causing the okuma reels to seize up....

I found several issues, but mostly bad pawls and dried grease were responsible for the failures. - Dennis

I have a problem with my okuma atrion spinning reel. it is making a noise that my old penns and zebcos from the 1960s and 1970s make but the okuma has 4 bearings in it and is like 10 years old. is there any chance you know what that could be? thanks

It sounds like worn bearings. They may need to be changed
