St James has changed a lot in the 19 years I have lived here. It has become a meca for middle class young families, rents have more then doubled as they ran the lower income families out. Condos going in everywhere.

Reminds me (the urbanization of neighborhoods) of something I watched this morning about the Fillmore district in my city of San Francisco and the unmooring here of the neighborhood South of Market to create the Yerba Buena development with the SFMOMA and Moscone Center. Good evening Ken thanks for this tour of st Jamestown. I visited there many times in my younger days. My aunt and uncle lived there for 40 years. They did most of there shopping on Parliament street. It had everything they wanted, butcher LCBO Beer store and fruit and vegetable markets. So nice to see how it looks today.😊😊😊

My cousin lives there, and I housesat for her a couple of years ago. It felt very “ghetto” to me, compared to where I live which isn’t as densely populated 😮 She lives in one of those white buildings. No offense to those living there ofc!
