More EU countries, including Slovenia, set to recognise Palestine in coming weeks

Slovenia has started the procedure for its recognition of Palestine, and the government says this will be finalised by mid-June at the latest. Slovenia has been at the forefront in Europe when it comes to calls for an end to Israeli attacks on civilians in Gaza, and is strongly lobbying to speed up the dialogue in the UN on the ceasefire and two-state solution. It comes as more EU countries are thinking about collectively recognising Palestine in the next few weeks.

Midnight May 14th 1948 Israel declared "ITSELF" to be a nation. 12 minutes later the USA recognised the state of Israel. It was not until 10th May 1949 that the United Nations recognised the state of Israel.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Comrade Tanja Fajon, should take care of Slovenia and its citizens. Israel and Palestine should long ago recognize (mutually) each other and live in peace and coexistence. I'm person, who has also a Slovenian citizenship. What the Slovenian government is doing is not good. There was never in history a palastine state. A palastine state would be an apartheid state. Jews (the indigenous people of the land) would not be allowed to live there. Additional there are a lot of people who want to use such a state to destroy Israel (like Hamas, PLO). In Israel there are 20% arabs. And the arabs in Israel can vote and built the society together with the rest of the people in Israel. I'm a friend of Israel.
